    There is no city in the world like Cairo. It has been the largest city in Africa and the Middle East for 750 years and has been attractive to tourists throughout the ages. This short tour gives you a taste of Egypt's bustling capital city and home to the Pyramids, Sphinx and Egyptian Museum, and is ideal for those short of time or who may have visited other parts of Egypt already. The tour begins with a guided sightseeing tour to Egypt's most well-known landmark - the Great Pyramids of Giza and the enigmatic Sphinx. We also visit the unique Step Pyramid at Saqqara to learn about the history and evolution of pyramid building. Next we take a fully-guided city tour of Cairo to visit the sprawling Egyptian Museum of antiquities, the imposing Citadel, several mosques (or alternatively Coptic Cairo) and the bustling Khan-el-Khalili bazaar. We also take an evening dinner cruise on the Nile and enjoy some traditional Sufi dancing and exotic Belly dancing. Accommodation is based on a friendly small 3-star hotel in the up-scale district of Mohandiseen, with plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants within easy walking distance.     This half day tour to Islamic Cairo starts At 10:00 am when our guide will pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to the Citadel of Salah El Din in Cairo. Over there in Islamic Cairo you will be able to visit and enter some of the mosques such as - `Masjid` Amr Ibn Elas Mosque, followed by a visit to the Most and biggest mosques in Cairo which is El Sultan Hassan Mosque. We will then visit another big famous Mosque which is the Al-Rifa’i Mosque. The building is located opposite the Mosque-Madrassa of Sultan Hassan, which dates from around 1361, and was architecturally conceived as a complement to the older structure. The mosque was constructed next to two large public squares and off of several European style. Then Followed by a visit to one of the biggest mosques in Cairo which is El Sultan Hassan Mosque that also known as `Madrasa El Sultan Hassan` that was founded by Sultan Hassan in 1356 A.D. Commissioned by a sultan of a short and relatively unimpressive profile, al-Maqrizi noted that within the mosque were several “wonders of construction”. The mosque was, for example, designed to include schools for all four of the Sunni schools of thought: Shafi’i, Maliki, Hanafi and Hanbali Then drive to Al-Azhar Mosque in Cairo is also known as the mosque of the most resplendent is a mosque in Islamic Cairo in Egypt. It was the first mosque established in Cairo, a city that has since gained the nickname "the City of a Thousand Minarets". End your day tour with a visit to El Hussein Mosque in Cairo.     Ibrahim was our tour guide and he was amazing, very nice and respectful, his English was perfect he went above and be on and we did everything we wanted to do and then some he really made our experience special he made us feel very comfortable, he was very knowledgeable about everything, from the pyramids and all the ancient ruins in the museums, even took us shopping and as we all know people can haggle you when at the pyramids and shopping around town, and he kept them all away which we extremely appreciated, and helped us translate when making purchases to ensure we got the best deal, he even took us out for refreshers and lunch at the end of the day !!! And extremely considerate he took a lot of very good pictures he was like a personal photographer, he did everything at our pace. We originally had booked him as our shuttle from the Cairo airport to our hotel when we first arrived in Egypt, he was on time to pick us up from the airport, He was waiting with our name and actually found us as soon as we walked out the door of the airport! he was also extremely punctual when picking us up from the hotel to start our tour and very accommodating considering we booked our tour on our ride from the airport to our hotel. Anytime in Cairo or the surrounding area I would definitely book him for any thing needed whether it be a tour or just an airport shuttle .
