The tour combined the bustle of Tokyo, the culture of Kyoto and the charm of the Northern Akita and coastal region. The food and accommodations were excellent and being able to travel on Bullet Trains, local trains and subways added to the local experience.
Yoko was an excellent CEO, she was knowledgeable, helpful and kept the group organized.
Overall it was an excellent tour of Japan!

My wife and I had an incredible time on our Backroads of Japan tour. This was our first ever international trip, and even with booking a tour, we weren't sure what to expect. Fortunately, our tour guide was simply phenomenal. He was perfectly fluent in Japanese and English, knowledgeable in every facet of the country (down to the geology!), attentive to the needs of our very diverse group, and knew every nook and rest stop along every trail we hiked. Oliver was an amazing and attentive tour guide. He was able to swap around our itinerary to ensure that we didn't miss out on attractions after string winds caused the Govt to close buildings fir 2 days of our trip.
The Great Wall is SO impressive and photos do not do it justice! On this trip you visit parts of the wall where you have it to yourself for most of the day. This was a major highlight!

We’re both in our 60s and loved the concept of seeing iconic cities in one tour. Highlights for us were Cape Town and Agra, very well organized with knowledgeable guides. The early morning flights and long transfers were tiring, and there wasn’t much time to unpack before moving again. That said, we met lovely people and learned so much. We just wish we had more time in Singapore. They handled logistics impressively for such a big tour. Would recommend for flexible, energetic travelers.

This trip had everything. Incredible history, architecture, scenery, high mountain passes and friendly locals. The Potala Palace and views of Everest were highlights. Our guide and driver were great. Very knowledgable and gave us plenty of time to explore. The trip was very well organised too. Can recommend it.
