I really enjoyed the trip but it was more intense than I thought it would be! Nice to have the different side of seeing the tourist activities as well as the hillside tribe villages. I really enjoyed the hike although it was more challenging than I was expecting from the description given!

This tour hit all the right notes for us. We wanted something that showed us different parts of Thailand without being too intense or expensive. The days were full but never overwhelming. We saw big landmarks like the Grand Palace and White Temple but also had time for small experiences, like sipping coffee at a local cafe in Chiang Mai or watching the sunset from the beach in Phuket.
The flights between cities made travel easy and we were always met on time. Having a guide in each place helped us understand the history and customs better and they answered every question we had.
We’re not “tour people,” usually, but this one made things simple. It was structured but with enough flexibility. If you’re thinking about Thailand and want a little adventure without the stress of planning I’d definitely recommend this tour.

This trip was great from beginning to end, the itinerary was very well organized, simple, and not tiring. My mom and I love the beaches in Phuket the most, where we can move freely and relax. The North of Thailand has been captivating cyclists for decades. While its grueling climbs and gritty off-road tracks often steal the spotlight, this 10-day adventure offers a lovingly curated selection of terrific mixed-surface routes that highlight the region’s gentler side. We navigate farmer trails meandering among rice paddies, concrete paths linking villages, and smooth tarmac roads undulating over low-rising hills. These routes provide a strong taste of Northern Thailand by bike without the need to scale any mountains or rattle through technical singletracks!
Starting from bustling Chiang Mai, we begin with a warm-up ride through the flat plains surrounding the Ping River before venturing deeper into the hilly terrain of northern Thailand. We ride along scenic backcountry roads, visit the sacred Chiang Dao Caves, and reach the highlands along the border with Myanmar. From the small town of Tha Ton, we follow the Mae Kok River through a jungle-clad valley and pass hilltribe villages to reach the eccentric White Temple. We have a rest day in Chiang Rai, a charming city with plenty on offer to fill a relaxed day. We then ride through an agrarian landscape of rice and pineapple fields to arrive at the famed Golden Triangle, where the borders of Thailand, Myanmar and Laos converge at the confluence of the Mekong River. We zip down the river on a boat, explore the ancient city of Chiang Saen, and crown our adventure with a ride along the Mekong to end the tour in the sleepy border town of Chiang Khong.

I absolutely loved this trip. We had a fabulous tour leader and a lovely group of 15 like-minded travellers broadly aged from 20’s to 70’s which really added to our experience. So many great memories packed into every day - from the overnight train to Chiang Mai, to swimming in waterfalls - all the time feeling safe and looked after. A wonderful holiday.

My food restrictions were a challenge, but Andy would stay to help explain to waiters for me.
We loved the random stops on the road, to visit local food huts markets. I really enjoyed the bicycle ride to the temple ruin and through the park. The elephants were super fun and cute - a very authentic experience.
