We thoroughly enjoyed our trip. As this was our very first European cycling trip we really didn’t know what to expect but the trip exceeded our expectations! The information provided before (the tip about a charging stick was invaluable) and during was great. The accommodations were fantastic, especially their location. It was so nice after a long ride to arrive at the hotel, be able to check in, have our bags available and then, after a shower, be able to head out on foot to explore the sights! The breakfasts were amazing and fuelled us for the ride ahead. The navigation system generally worked well although a bit tricky in larger centres but we figured things out. The bikes were well maintained and worked well.
This is a whistle stop tour through Eastern Europe concentrating on the history, culture and architecture of the capitals. A great introduction which will leave you wanting to come back for more.
The trip was a wonderful sampling of Southern Australia. Being my first time there, it was a great introduction to Australia. There are a couple cities I want to see more of, but this was a GREAT trip!!
This all-Italian adventure kicks off in the historic heart of Rome, then heads to Naples—the birthplace of pizza. You'll explore the perfectly preserved ruins of Pompeii before soaking up the sun and sipping limoncello along the stunning Amalfi Coast (with a stop in postcard-perfect Sorrento, of course). By the end of this unforgettable 6-day Italian escape, you'll have a belly full of pizza, a camera full of memories, and a serious craving to come back for more.
Say Hola to an adventure in the heart of Mexico. From Aztec to Zapotec, this eight-day trip blends the best of the country’s highlights and lesser-known spots, with ancient ruins and natural wonders around every corner. With local experiences and plenty of free time, you can make the adventure your own. Wander through bustling markets, learn the secrets of black pottery and join an alebirjes workshop. Try pasita (raisin-flavoured liqueur) in a local bar in Puebla, explore the UNESCO World Heritage sites of Monte Alban and Teotihuacan and discover the vibrant art scene of Oaxaca with a local by your side
I feel that G Adventures exceeded my expectations. I figured the hotels and transport would be taken care of, but I was surprised at everyone's knowledge and eagerness was truly amazing and I would recommend this company and this Journey to other people. I felt I learned a lot, experienced a lot, and saw a lot in a fairly short amount of time.
Be ready to cruise along the Huangpu River and see the Shanghai skyline like never before. Then head to one of the hidden 'speakeasy' bars in the city and have some relaxing time there.
Our guide will come to pick you up in your hotel lobby and take you to the Huangpu River for the cruise. The cruise will last for 60 minutes. See landmark colonial buildings as you cruise down the river. Enjoy an excellent view of the Bund, including the Peace Hotel with its green, pyramid roof and the Customs House with its large clock tower.
Head to one of Shanghai's newest breeds of hidden 'speakeasy' bars after the cruise. As the name suggests, you won't find the entrance to the bar until you have arrived there.
Enjoy an optional late dinner if you want to.
The Tanzania Safari is incredible - we saw such a huge variety of animals so close up, all thanks to the expertise of our guide who went above and beyond to ensure we had the most amazing experience. Particular highlight was also the accommodation in the Serengeti - glamping right in the middle of a national park!
G adventures was one of the best things I choice to do. I made friends that will last a lifetime, and memories that are unforgettable. The CEO Fhilip was amazing knew so many things about each city and gave great recommendations of things to do. Was so professional but also very fun and friendly. The trip moved very fast and had about a day in each city. Would have liked to have more group activities to do but the one bike tour we did was amazing. All the accommodations were great except the hostel in Amsterdam, was very bad, so far away from everything, rooms very small as well as the bathroom. We shared a bathroom with other people in the floor which is fine except someone kept flooding the toilet and making it unusable.
Mexico exceeded all my expectations. The diversity of the people and culture held a surprise every day. The local people are so pleased to be welcoming tourists to the areas we visited. There was a strong police presence particularly on highway 99 in the Chiapas area but not threatening and indeed, in other areas, made us feel safe.
The tour was very busy with early departures in order to be able to cover the itinerary. Nothing was too much trouble for our guide - Tacho, he was proud to tell us of his Mayan ancestry and history of Mexico.
I would have liked to spend a night on the Chocolate farm in the highlands and Maybe, just one night in San Cristobel but other than that can’t see how you could cover the trip length without that long drive to Tuxtla (nearly 11 hours for us due to road blocks and minor bus problem).
