This tour felt like a crash course in Southeast Asia, but in a good way. I wasn’t sure how much ground we could realistically cover in just over a week but this trip proved you don’t need a month to experience something meaningful. Everything was well-organized. What stood out most to me was how different Vietnam and Cambodia felt, even though they’re neighbors.
Hanoi was buzzing with life..scooters zipping by, food stalls everywhere, and this mix of modern and old that was fascinating to watch. Our guide helped us navigate the chaos in a way that made it feel approachable rather than overwhelming. Then, just when things felt fast-paced we got a breather on the Ha Long Bay cruise. Being out on the water was peaceful, the views were unreal.
In Cambodia, Angkor Wat was the big draw, and yes, it was absolutely worth it. But what I didn’t expect was how much I enjoyed the in-between moments.
And while there’s always a lot of walking on these kinds of trips, the pace felt doable, even for those of us who aren’t exactly as young as me (53 :p)
Would I do it again? Definitely. The trip left me feeling like I got a true taste of two cultures.
We will pick you from your hotel at 8.30 am for an amazing full day tour of Phnom Penh. Around 9:00, you will take a cyclo tour and discover the impressive French Khmer colonial structures in Phnom Penh.

After that, you will visit Central Market, which is situated in a special domed Art Deco building. Head over to the Independence Monument and the Cambodia/Vietnam friendship monument for some stunning photographs.
Around 12:30 pm, we will sample traditional Khmer delicacies at a not for profit organization founded to aid Cambodia’s street children. After a short rest, we proceed with the next part of the tour (around 14:00 pm).
Now that we've done enough sightseeing, we move on for a shopping adventure at the sprawling Russian Market, one of the most popular markets in Phnom Penh to buy something as souvenirs and know more about the daily life of locals here.
Finally, end your tour with a walk on the riverfront at the Chaktoumok where you can enjoy other culinary delights. Head back to your hotel where the tour ends at 5.00 pm.

This form of art is incredibly popular as a stunning form of art, and offers culture lovers visiting Cambodia a unique sense of history and culture. Among the many forms found here, the Shadow Puppet show is easily the best one that the country has to offer.
This traditional craft of puppet making appeared centuries ago and has been preserved during the Civil war with the support of several non-government organizations. Once you're in Cambodia, you shouldn't miss out a chance to experience this incredible craft by making a shadow puppet on your own. If you're looking for a unique souvenir to bring back home, this is easily the souvenir you'll ever find in Cambodia.
