I am not used to traveling on a fixed tour, but I really appreciated everything I saw and experienced. Finishing with the hike to the Tigress Nest was a perfect way to conclude the trip.
If you're planning to do a trek in Nepal, this local travel specialist is the way to go! I recently completed the Everest Base Camp Trek with them and had the most amazing experience. As a solo female traveler, I wanted to make sure to use a reputable company that I felt comfortable with and this agency far exceeded all of my expectations. They were extremely professional and quick to respond to any of the questions I had before the trip. Everything was so organized, from airport pickup/ drop off to the daily itinerary of the trek itself. My guide, Dipak, was also amazing! He truly went above and beyond to make sure that I had the trip of a lifetime. He was so knowledgeable about the region and about high altitude trekking in general. I felt extremely taken care of the entire time and also felt like I had a new best friend! He offered to help take photos and videos throughout the trek, which was amazing and even put together daily videos of each days highlights. I was able to truly just take the whole experience in. I hope to be able to do another trek with this agency and Dipak in the future!

Our trip went very well thanks especially to our guide BK who was very kind and helpful during her time with us. Also the local guides were very good and our crew led by Ram. Excellent food on the trip the campsites were in spectacular positions and the other night stops were good. We only had one complaint with a driver who wouldn't come and meet us when we were finishing the trek and we were walking on a dangerous road for 5km. We did suggest that in future treks if the only way down was the road then the trek should stop at the lunch point
Trip was great, lodging was good (probably not a lot of options in rural China), both guides (Janssen for wall, Diana for Xi’an) were excellent they were knowledgeable and made the experience great.
The information on details for China could have been more detailed- if I had not been to China before I would not have known that credit cards are not generally accepted and American ATM cards do not work in all machines. Actually China uses apps instead of currency, this can make it difficult to complete transactions. I also missed the information on the tipping kitty, love the concept, but was unaware of the amount needed. Also would be good to include the cost of the add on options (spring palace and acrobatics show), base idea what the group dinner will cost per day. Having this information would help plan, needed to get currency before leaving Beijing- ATM not easily accessible in rural areas.
Overall excellent experience, I would recommend Explore and this trip
Very responsive and informative in emails! We had our trip planned smoothly by Ganesh. Our guide Roshan is helpful and funny! Had a great trip to Mohare Danda end of June. Will definitely come back when it's not monsoon season :)
This was an amazing cultural and nature journey that helped us immerse ourselves in the Bhutan's way of life.
Amazing, caring knowledgeable guide and driver. Awesome experiences.
I had Mardi Himal trekking with my parter few month ago. This trek was booked from this local operator as one of my friend recommended this trek. Support from this trekking agency was great from the beginning. They provided all the necessary equipment required for this trek. The arrangement was great. Mr Sujan kept checking on us. Guide Kamal was amazing and has great sense of humour. We successfully completed this trekking. The tour operator and its team is highly recommended.

Everest Panorama Trek is a short hiking trip around the beautiful Khumbu region, particularly around Everest, the giant among giants. As the name suggests, this trek offers panoramic views of the majestic Mt. Everest and other Himalayan peaks. Everest panorama trekking program best suits avid travelers who want to visit the Himalayas but do have time for longer treks. The trek starts after an early morning flight from Kathmandu city to Lukla. On the first day, we trek to Phakding and stay overnight at lodge. The next day, we make our way to Namche Bazaar which is also known as the gateway to Mount Everest. After a day's rest in Namche Bazaar, we head to Tengboche. Tengboche is famous for its ancient Buddhist monastery. After Tengboche, we make our own way back to Lukla via Khumjung and Phakding village.
Many people have described the Kanchenjunga trek as the finest trekking route in Nepal. It is a long trek going deep into the remote mountain ranges on Nepal’s border with Sikkim and Tibet. The trail explores the areas around Kanchenjunga the second highest mountain in Nepal and the third highest mountain in the world (once thought to be the highest among the world’s giants).
The mountain is part of the Great Himalaya Range. The Kanchenjunga massif is in the form of a gigantic cross, the arms of which extend north, south, east, and west. This recently opened Kanchenjunga region routes offer the chance to discover absolutely unspoiled highlands wilderness. In Tibetan, ‘Kanchenjunga’ means ‘the five treasure houses of snow’, which gives you some idea of what to expect when visiting the area. The Kanchenjunga conservation area (20,35Sq km) extends into protected areas in Sikkim and Tibet, and comprises beautiful and unspoiled wilderness. The area is snow leopard territory, but the reclusive predator shares the unbounded forests with the Himalayan black bear and the Assamese macaque, musk deer and red panda among others. Cascading waterfalls, lush vegetation and thousands of species of plants await the trekker. More than 2,000 different flowering plants have been recorded in the Kanchenjunga area and in the springtime some of the richest rhododendron forests in Nepal can be seen.
Manaslu Trek is a well-loved trekking route, for good reason. Pristine mountain views, rich culture and genuine adventure sum up a trek experience around Manaslu. Opened in 1992, this area offers a combination of rich culture heritage, unsurpassed beauty and biological diversity.
At 8163 meters, Manaslu is the 8th highest peak in the world and is located near the border between Nepal and Tibet. The name Manaslu means "the Spirit-Mountain" in the local dialect, referring to the benevolent and strong deity which dwells within. The Tibetan enclave of Nupri, north of Manaslu at the head of the Buri Gandaki, was closed to foreigners for years on account of its proximity to Tibet. The area was surreptitiously opened in 1991, but it took several years for the word to get out, keeping the area free from hordes of tourists.
If you are looking for a taste of real, extreme trekking in Nepal where you can experience the most breathtaking mountain scenery on earth, then look no further than the circuit of Manaslu!
I just finished a customized extended 19 day trek around Manaslu. My local guide Tsiring used his extraordinary familiarity with the area to include two overnight home-stays and five days of hiking on unique trails away from the standard route around the mountain.
