Going valley in the morning over 4000m was severe coldness in winter because no sunshine due to surrounding mountains and wind. (Dingboche to Lobche) It might be better to add 1 more layer, considering the weather. Since a bit earlier than year end holiday, I could spend more quiet time. On the way to back, I met more people who were going up. Mr Bibek, the guide was knowledgeable and explained the mountains. He was good advisor also for health conditions but you should know yourself first.

Great service, amazing experience and great adventure in the mountains!! Gokyo Cho La Pass trek with this tour agency is highly recommended. The agency is an expert in Manaslu region, Karma made all the preparations very smooth. I am a solo traveler and he helped me to find a group. All the communication was very smooth and I always got quick answers. Despite the tight schedule, the agency managed to get all the permits, and we left for the trek the day after arriving in Kathmandu. Karma and Nima are knowledgeable, responsible and funny guide/supporter, who made sure we had the best experience during the trek:) We loved the nature, villages, mountain views. I highly recommend this local tour operator! We took 18 days trek to Everest Base Camp and 3 High Passes in November and the experience was just amazing. We had everything professionally organized by Chris: transportation (including flight to Lukla), food and lodging, permits, you name it... The contact with the company was always quick and easy, Chris was super helpful and everything went smoothly. We were even provided with really good and warm sleeping bags and jackets! Our guide Lakpa was really experienced and knowledgeable, he showed us some of the most incredible places we've ever seen, helped us through all the though parts of the trail and was always there to answer questions and offer advice. We felt really well taken care for every step of the way. We're already planning our next trek in Nepal and we'll most definitely come back to Nepal.

The Trek was excellent - the scenery was fantastic with the clear weather in mid-October. The trekking was sometimes challenging, but never too hard for fairly fit "almost-60-year-olds". The views of Everest and its surrounding peaks, especially from Tengboche Monastery, were fantastic. If you don't feel the need, or have the time, to go all the way to Everest Base Camp, this is the trek to take!

I booked this trek at quite short notice in September 2018. My schedule was a bit tight so I had to cut the trip short from the standard 12 days down to 11, but this was no problem for Friends adventure who were able to fit the trek in plus an extra day of whitewater rafting as well. Hira, my guide, was very helpful, knowledgable and friendly and made sure everything went to plan, so that I managed to make it to Base Camp and Kala Pathar as well (and I'm an unfit 50 year old who hadn't really done enough training). The trek itself was spectacular and everything I'd hoped it would be. I would definitely recommend Friends Adventure to anyone planning a trip to Nepal.
