By banal throat infection after the peak ascent yet with heli to hospital ... where people from the local tour operator were there to assist me, Dipak came to visit me personally and check if everything went well ... 3 days later I was in Pokhara enjoy (with antibiotics)! Good insurance is extremely important! Hint: European assistance 'world sport'.

We, a family of three from New Zealand, enjoyed a trip to China in October this year. We have been preparing for this trip for 2 years. Before finding this tour operator, we also inquired with some local travel companies in New Zealand and China. After comparing, we found that the itineraries offered by New Zealand companies were relatively limited, and they required a minimum of 16 people to form a group. Therefore, we ultimately chose the 13-day group tour package with this operator. In our group, there are a total of three families, consisting of 6 people. This was a great itinerary, although an extra day in Petra would be helpful especially when you are battling heat. To have time to actually use the pool at the 'village' hotel would be incredible. We came in around 10-11pm and were out by 7 am the next morning.
Also, you really need to deal with the 'extra' activities. We came in early to do the Desert Castles add-on and were told we had to wait to talk to our tour director - who we didn't see until 6 pm that evening when it was too late. (when we asked about it before going we were told to talk to our tour director when we got there)
Vietnam cast its spell on us, and this Vietnam tour was the magic wand. It was more than just a honeymoon; it was a chapter of our lives written in the heart of Southeast Asia. Landing in Ho Chi Minh City, we were greeted by the knowledgeable guide who made the city's history as thrilling as a novel. His stories brought the landmarks to life, and his warmth made us feel like we had a local friend. Hanoi's Old Quarter was a delightful surprise, especially the markets and the Water Puppet Show. Guide was attentive, making our experience was nothing short of perfect. For a honeymoon that's a blend of guided exploration and personal discovery. TOP-NOTCH!!!
The French Concession was where the Good Life was to be found, along with the lovely old villas and modern apartment houses of those who lived it. We will focus on the life transitions that took place here, visit Xintiandi - site of the First Conference of the Communist Party, the French Park, Premier Zhou Enlai's Former Residence, lilongs, apartments and villas from 1915 through 1930s that were home to both local Shanghainese and to many expatriate Shanghailanders.
The walk also goes off the main streets and into the back lanes for a glimpse of small-town Shanghai life. At the end of the walk, there will be an opportunity to rest in one of Shanghai's most interesting SOHO area: Tianzifang (full of interesting designer stores, restaurants and coffee shops).
This is a leisurely guided stroll giving you insights on modern and the traditional Shanghai.
The trip was great, everything was very smooth, and well taken care of. I must also really thank you for helping with the train tickets last minute, you were a great help! I was quite worried haha.
The guide you provided, Lhakdon, was excellent. She is a very warm person, and genuinely helpful. For example, my father broke his spectacles accidentally one night, and I messaged her at 9pm asking if she had super-glue or knew a place to buy new spectacles. The next morning she turned up at 9 am with a tube of super glue, and we were able to fix the spectacles! She really went above and beyond to help us.
She always made sure we were comfortable and taken care of, at restaurants she would stop eating and come over to help us order food, get utensils, get drinks etc. service standard is very high.
Lhakdon also helped us outside of the tour time, brought us to various shops, to look for specific items we wanted. These shops were also cheaper and better in quality than the usual tourist traps. Places where locals would buy from.
The driver Pen Pal was also good, a friendly guy. Though he didn't speak English, we could converse in Mandarin. His driving was very safe, smooth ride all the way. No speeding, no sudden acceleration/braking/swerving. Great driver!
Please express the thanks and appreciation from my Dad and I to Lhakdon and the driver. If my friends or I ever go to Tibet again we will definitely request for them again!
