Great service, amazing experience and great adventure in the mountains!! Gokyo Cho La Pass trek with this tour agency is highly recommended. The agency is an expert in Manaslu region, Karma made all the preparations very smooth. I am a solo traveler and he helped me to find a group. All the communication was very smooth and I always got quick answers. Despite the tight schedule, the agency managed to get all the permits, and we left for the trek the day after arriving in Kathmandu. Karma and Nima are knowledgeable, responsible and funny guide/supporter, who made sure we had the best experience during the trek:) We loved the nature, villages, mountain views. Just completed the Gokyo Lakes, Gokyo Ri, Cho-La and EBC treks with this local travel expert and had an unforgettable experience. Throughout the whole process Chhatra was an impressive communicator - very responsive, simple, clear and informative. Our guide (Rinji) and porter (also Rinji !!) were incredibly flexible in helping us make the impossible, possible - whilst always looking out for our health and wellbeing. Going valley in the morning over 4000m was severe coldness in winter because no sunshine due to surrounding mountains and wind. (Dingboche to Lobche)
It might be better to add 1 more layer, considering the weather.
Since a bit earlier than year end holiday, I could spend more quiet time.
On the way to back, I met more people who were going up.
Mr Bibek, the guide was knowledgeable and explained the mountains.
He was good advisor also for health conditions but you should know yourself first.

I had a fantastic trekking trip to the Island Peak, organized by the local operator. The hotels were good and the guide became a close friend of mine. Additionally they were able to change the date of the flight-out of Lukla without any problems. If I ever will do another trekkingtour in Nepal I definitly go back to ACH and I just can recommand to everbody else to do the same!!

I did the Mera Peak trekking over 15 days, organized by local tour specialists. Mr. Krishna Subedi (Kris) is the manager of the organization. He is a very good co-ordinator, puts you immediately on whatsapp when you arrive, and keeps following up your trekking and summit experience. When there were small problems, he immediately took action and contacted the right people. My guide Mr. Neyma Sherpa was also very helpfull and an excellent guide.
The trek itself was very enjoyable. The Tea houses were very good and they were very flexible when i prefered another teahouse than the one they already booked.
A few extra things to keep in mind:
- The month May used to be the best month for Mera Peak but we had a lot of rain... May-be April or October is becoming better now...
- Listen to your guide at all times and don't go up to fast. The trekking is also about acclimatizing. Sometimes you need that extra day at 4000m...
- Take a portable solar panel with you and a power bank. (min 12W, 20W is better). It will pay itself back. You pay a lot in the teahouses to get your phone charged (a lot of them also use solar power).
- I personally prefer not to rent climbing gear but to take my own. I always hike and climb with the same pair of C boots with semi-automatic crampons. My C boots are big enough to wear 2 pair of socks if necessary. My smartwhool socks were warm enough on the summit day (-10 to -15 °C)
- Take a porter. They are not expensive and your hiking comfort will increase a lot.
- Don't forget to use sunscreen, especially on the summit day when you leave at 2 am in the dark and you're not thinking about the sun at that time.
- Make sure you are in excellent physical shape. After the summit, you will need 3 more days to get to Lukla.
I had a wonderful time trekking to the Everest Base Camp with Nepal Eco. Chhatra was very enthusiastic in our communications before the trip and furnished me readily with the necessary details of visa, permits, documents, equipment, etc. He responds speedily and is meticulous in his information. My guide, Dawa, was an affable and jovial personality who was always glad to share his abundance of technical and cultural knowledge. We had quite a few drinks together and had a whale of a time in the mountains. I was unfortunate to meet with some ATM hiccups and ran out of cash mid-trek, but Dawa came to the rescue, lending me money and sponsoring my tea most of the time.
After the EBC trek I was supposed to continue on to Island peak, but heeding Dawa's advice on the foul weather I decided against it. Chhatra was kind enough to reimburse me for that part of the trip; I believe few agencies would be as transparent and generous as he. Safe to say, I had the time of my life nonetheless, and it's all thanks to these guys.
