See the major sights, landmarks and attractions of Ho Chi Minh on this comprehensive full-day city tour.
In the morning, the tour starts with a visit to the imposing Dong Khoi Street (formerly Rue Catinat). Pass by classic European-style landmarks such as the ornate City Hall (Hotel de Ville). Next, we will go to the Notre Dame Cathedral, the most famous landmark in Vietnam, as the twin bell towers can be seen from a long distance. In the same square is the famous Saigon Post Office, the largest functioning post office in Vietnam. What makes this post office so extraordinary is that it was designed and built by Gustave Eiffel who also designed and built the Eiffel Tower and Statue of Liberty. It is a building not to be missed.
Afterwards, dive into modern history with a tour of the Reunification Palace. Formerly the Independence Palace of the South Vietnamese president, this 60s style building was famously stormed by tanks on April 30, 1975, signifying the fall of South Vietnam. It has been preserved in its original state, and the original tanks remain on display near the entrance gates. Continue to the harrowing War Remnants Museum, which comprehensively documents the travails of the long Vietnam – American War. Inside are detailed photographic exhibitions; outside is a collection of tanks, planes and weapons. A powerful experience, this museum is guaranteed to provoke strong emotions.
In the afternoon, we head out to Cho Lon (Chinatown). Explore the highlights of this fascinating area, beginning with a brief visit to Binh Tay Market, the vast wholesale market selling every kind of goods. Continue to visit Thien Hau Temple, built by the Cantonese congregation and dedicated to the heavenly goddess. End your tour at the central Ben Thanh Market, where vendors display a vast array of goods and handicrafts, appealing to every taste.

Do it. Excellent trip and easily worth what seems like a fair amount of money. If you are an experienced cyclist and think there aren’t enough kms in a day, don’t worry you will be tired. Decent MTB but not your light road bike. Excellent support staff led by top man Hung. Incredibly knowledgeable about culture, politics, history. More than just a cycle trip. You visit small villages well off the beaten track. It never felt too touristy even in the main cities.

The 'Annapurna Sanctuary trek' takes you into a hidden bowl in the heart of the Annapurna range, where you are surrounded by a spectacular panorama of towering peaks, ten of which are over 6,000m. One of the more popular Annapurna treks, this trek takes you as far as Annapurna Base Camp at 4,095m. We reach the sanctuary after a beautiful and varied trek through the Himalayan foothills, passing through small villages, mixed forests and terraced farmland. En-route we enjoy great mountain views at sunrise from Poon Hill. An excellent introduction to Nepal and trekking in Annapurnas.
You begin your tour in Kathmandu where you'll have a free day to explore the sights and sounds of the capital at your leisure. From Kathmandu you have a scenic road journey to Pokhara where your trek begins from nearby Naya Pul. Staying in lodges throughout, you will get to meet and talk with other trekkers and guides each evening, and discuss the places you've visited, and the route ahead, as well as making a contribution to the local economy.
Starting in the foothills, immediately north of Pokhara you start the trek by climbing to Ghorepani, where you can enjoy beautiful sunrise views of the Annapurna range from Poon Hill. From Ghorepani you cross several valleys and then ascend along the beautiful Modi Khola valley. Deep Rhododendron forests, with sprinklings of a whole range of orchids, and bamboo forests replete with chattering monkeys, are a dominant feature of this trek.
As you walk further up into the centre of the Annapurna Himal, you will visit Machhapuchhare Base Camp followed by Annapurna Base Camp itself. As you enter the Annapurna Sanctuary (a mountain ringed amphitheatre of immense proportions), you will be rewarded with spectacular views of 10 snow-capped peaks above 6,000m. The peaks include: Fang, Glacier Dome, Homunculi, Annapurna, Annapurna South, Annapurna 1, Annapurna 3 and Machhapuchhare. All of these, combined with the impressive backdrop of the south face of Annapurna 1 (8,090m) make this trek a truly unique and unforgettable experience. After some time exploring the Sanctuary, you retrace your steps for a couple of days to leave, before trekking back towards Pokhara, stopping along the way at the hot springs near Jhinnadunda.
You have a free day in Pokhara which we leave to give you time to relax in this peaceful lakeside town, and to allow for any delays on the trek itself. From Pokhara you travel by road back to Kathmandu and have a little free time to do some last minute shopping or a little more sightseeing around the city and surrounding valley.
Extensions are available to visit Chitwan or Bardia National Parks, try some white-water rafting or perhaps even a home stay in a nearby Newari village.

Are you looking for a climbing challenge? Join our super adventure climbing program that includes the three most famous peaks in the Everest Region: Pokalde Peak, Island Peak, and Lobuche East Peak. Our program has been carefully designed with a gradual ascent, proper acclimatization, and escalating complexity in mind. We are sure that the sense of accomplishment you will experience after scaling three of the most famous Peaks in the Everest region will linger in your memory forever!
Pokalde Peak or the Dolma Ri (5806m) is comparatively the easiest climb. Island Peak (6,189m), originally known as the Imja Tse, is located in the heart of the Everest region and derives its name from its striking location in the middle of the Chhukung valley, like an Island on a sea of ice. It is a tougher climb than Pokalde, but still, Mount Lobuche East (6119m) climb is the most challenging of the three.
We'll begin our trip following the famous Everest trail via Namche, Tengboche, and Dingboche. The trail to Pokalde Peak deviates from Dingboche while following through the usual route to Everest Base Camp. We will cross the Kongma La pass (5,535 meters) to reach the high camp of the peak. The trek from the camp through the rocky trail eventually rewards you with an extraordinary mountain spectacle including Mt Makalu, Ama Dablam, Pumori, and a vast mountain vista of the Khumbu region. After summiting Pokalde Peak, we trek to Chhukung for our next target, Island Peak. Hard efforts getting to the top of Island peak are worth finding Lhotse, Nuptse, Baruntse, Ama Dablam and Makalu at tip of your nose. Having done Island peak we descend down to Dingboche, trek up to Everest Base camp and Kala Patthar and move forward to Lobuche East peak. Having done with Lobuche East peak, one of the most challenging among 'trekkers peaks' in the Everest region we retrace our path to Lukla via Namche with a sense of achievement.
