We have joined a group tour organized by this local travel specialist for Dagala Thousand Lakes trip in 2019. It was one of the most scenic treks that I have ever been to. All along the way you will be greeted by towering Himalayas like Mountain Jumolhari, Kanchenjunga, Tsheringma and on occasion you may see Mount Everest as well. I took this trek on end of May when the wild flower was in bloom. The trek also gives you a glimpse of many glacial lakes. We had a wonderful trekking experience with the agency. Thank you. I wish that Explore offered a longer version to include both the south and north parts of this incredibly diverse destination. This trip exceeded all expectations and guidebook descriptions. Petra, Wadi Rum, Mount Neto and Jerash are all very different, and each is fantastic and beautiful in its own way. The Jordanian people are friendly, gentle and helpful. Camping in the dessert and watching the night sky was a highlight. The day are busy but not so full that you can't enjoy yourself. I flew home wanting to go back again next week. I loved this trip. Our guide Saleh was brilliant and told us wonderful stories about the history, culture and facts of each place we visited. He was our Jordan Dad, buying us little treats such as meejol dates and mint tea. Saleh also shared tales from his own life to give us a deeper insight into living and working in Jordan.

The trip entailed an easy 10km walk in the local national park situated in the foothills of Kathmandu. The drive to the start of our trek was only 1hour away, but it was a perfect way to escape to the countryside from the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu town. The campsite was perfectly set up and ready for our arrival, tents with beds and lighting and with a restaurant and bar which served the freshest food for lunch and then a lovely bbq in the evening. In the morning we had a few snowy mountains to greet us for breakfast and then after a short walk to the local village, we were then served lunch before out transport took us back down to Kathmandu.
