Learn more about the rich history and culture of the famed Ashanti Kingdom on this 5-day fun-packed trip exploring the most amazing parts of the Ashanti Region. This is a perfect amount of time to explore and experience the amazing cultural and historical resources of this beautiful part of the country.
The tour begins from the Ashanti capital, Kumasi. We then explore and amuse ourselves all the way around the middle belt of the country, ending the tour in Accra, the country’s capital. Visit the biggest open-air market in West Africa, see the amazing landscapes of the country, explore the rich culture of local villages, and visit the only natural lake in Ghana. End your trip with a tour of Accra, Ghana’s capital city.
Explore the traditional lifestyle of Kenyan tribes at Bomas of Kenya, a tourist village located around 10 kilometres from the capital city of Nairobi. A half-day tour of the village is enough to learn and understand the cultural heritage of Kenya. You will enjoy traditional dance performances, songs and folklore during your visit here. A jaw-dropping acrobatic show is a much loved attraction at Bomas of Kenya.
Bomas of Kenya was initiated in 1971 after Kenya's independence (1964) and it is run by the Kenyan Government and aims to promote Kenya's rich cultural heritage.
Your tour starts by pick you from your Nairobi hotel or accommodation at 1pm. You will experience the rich culture of Kenya’s 42 different ethnic groups as they live on their day-to-day basis. This is clearly demonstrated through traditional dances, music, song, and folklore. There is a splendid arena where acrobatic shows are performed.
The Bomas of Kenya put on displays of traditional dancers and spread over many acres, it also has a wonderful display of mud huts and traditional Kenyan homesteads. The Bomas of Kenya is the ideal place to bring energetic children as they can freely run in and out of the traditional houses and mud huts, climb up ladders and generally have a wonderfully active time.
These traditional houses are set out in clusters according to the region. The homes are grouped with the first wife's hut, second wife's hut, granary, etc. and you can see where the livestock are kept and the enormous variety between the huts.
In addition to the main attractions (the dancers and the traditional homesteads), there is also a large, wooden play area for young children, a small, low-key village of craft shops and other attractions.
Also known as the “Whiskey” route, the Machame route is now the most popular ascent route on Mt Kilimanjaro. Compared with the Marangu route, the walking days on the Machame route are longer and the walks are steeper. However, the scenery is spectacular and landscape interesting. The Machame route is considered a difficult route, and is better suited for more adventurous trekkers and those with some hiking or backpacking experience.
The Machame route is scenically beautiful and varied. However, due to its popularity there are increased numbers of trekkers, it loses some of its splendour. The Machame route approaches the summit from the southwest and descends using the Mweka route, rewarding climbers with views of the expansive Shira Plateau, an optional scramble up Lava Tower, a climb up the Great Barranco wall, and a traverse underneath Kilimanjaro’s southern ice field.
Climbers sleep in supplied tents at designated campsites, and eat meals either outdoors or inside a large dining tent, depending on weather conditions. Bless Africa Tours staff will prepare all meals and set up and take down the tents.
The Machame route is a highly successful route to the summit as you climb high and sleep lower because of position of the campsites, which aids acclimatization. It also offers the opportunity to take an alternative route to the summit, either via Barafu camp or the less frequented and more difficult Western breach route. The minimum number of days required for this route is six days, although seven days is recommended to make the walk more enjoyable and improve acclimatization.
After arrival in Moshi and the hotel, there will be the opportunity to rest. Later there will be a meeting with the tour guide for a briefing about the trek and Mt Kilimanjaro and, very importantly, an equipment check.

Book your place in our kitesurfing camp and achieve your dream of becoming an independent kitesurfer. Our lessons take place in small groups, which means that you will receive enough individual attention to develop all the necessary skills.
Learn how to fly a kite at the beginning of the course. Receive instructions on all the safety procedures and equipment set up. Practise body dragging on the second day and control your body, kite and board by the third day of the course.
Hone your up-wind skills on the fifth and the last day of the course. By the time the kitesurfing camp is over, you will have learned all the necessary skills required to carry out kitesurfing independently. We will provide you with all the equipment throughout the duration of the course.
The Marangu route is one of the most popular routes to the summit of Kilimanjaro. This could partly be as a result of the fact that the Marangu is the least expensive route but more so perhaps the fact that it is possible to do the Marangu route in 5 days thereby getting to the summit one day earlier compared to the Machame route. This is not always the best way due to a shorter acclimatization period. That is one thing to take into account before decided to do the Marangu route.
Nobody, even how fit they are, know how their body will respond in high altitude. If you want to increase your chances for making a successful summit, we recommend the Machame route.
The shared hut accommodation on the Marangu route is one of the main differences compared to the other routes, where you have to camp. Mineral water, soft drinks, chocolates and beers are also sold at all the camps on this route.
All your equipment and supplies are portered and our cook will prepares all your meals.

Overall, great experience. Brian has been extremely helpful in tailoring the itinerary for the safari and has assisted us all along the process.
Our guide, Henry, was always on time and truly did his best to show us all the possible animals within the visited parks. We've had nice lunches (with juice and wine) during the 7 days of Safari and the car was always sparkling clean in the morning when our guide was picking us up :)
Our safari was followed by a beach holiday in Zanzibar : Brian has arranged a pick-up at the airport for us. The hotel (Z hotel in Nungwi) was also great and the honeymoon package made our holiday unforgettable.
The safari is a magical experience everyone should have in a lifetime.

Great experience with this tour operator. Organization was all perfect. Our head guide Filbert and his entire team were fantastic, they clearly knew what they were doing and that experience shone through the entire trek. Very professional, helpful, knowledgeable and competent.
Stone Town is the old city and cultural heart of Zanzibar where little has changed in the last 200 years. It is a place of winding alleys, bustling bazaars, mosques and grand Arab houses whose original owners vied with each other over the extravagance of their dwellings. This one-upmanship is particularly reflected in the brass-studded, carved, wooden doors – there are more than 500 different examples of this handiwork. You can spend many idle hours and days just wandering through the fascinating labyrinth of narrow streets and alleyways.
This is a walking tour that takes you through the fabled Stone Town, where history appears to stand still. We’ll visit the House of Wonders, the former slave market for the East African Slave trade, and the Arab Fort, amongst others, taking a fascinating look at the essence of Zanzibar.
You will see Zanzibar’s bustling market, winding alleyways, ornately carved and studded doors, two cathedrals and countless mosques! Stone Town also has some excellent gift shops with plenty of souvenirs and handicrafts to choose from.
Your knowledgeable tour guide will entertain you with not only funny stories of Stone Town but also cruel stories that tell about life in the old times of Stone Town.
This half day trip includes the guide and all entrance fees.
Suggested itinerary:
Visit the Anglican Church, built by Bishop Steers in 1874. Visit the Sultan Palace Museum, House of Wonders & the central market. Visit the Peace Memorial Museum.
One of the great features for those that decide to come and visit Tarangire National Park is that it is still relatively un-crowded (which can be an issue in other parks). Tarangire National Park has the highest density of elephants in North Tanzania and you can view these animals all year round in which the herds often can reach an impressive number of 300 animals.
You will witness an unforgettable natural wonder as you can observe wonderful creatures such as lions, giraffes, buffaloes, wildebeests and zebras as well as various types of antelopes and gazelles and with a little luck, you can also spot a python.
Around lunch time, you will stop at a suitable picnic place before the afternoon starts, which is is dedicated to more wildlife watching. Before sunset, you will be taken back to your desired destination, be that either Arusha or Moshi.
