Discover the magic of Morocco on this 9-day adventure from Casablanca to the Sahara and back. You’ll explore the vibrant streets of Marrakech, wander through the ancient kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, and experience the cinematic charm of Ouarzazate. Journey into the golden dunes of the Sahara by camel and sleep under the stars at a Berber camp. In Fes, get lost in the world’s largest medieval medina before stepping back in time at the Roman ruins of Volubilis. With stops in imperial Meknes and coastal Rabat, this tour offers a rich mix of culture, history and desert landscapes.
Combining the best of culture and coastal bliss, this two week tour of Morocco ensures you won't miss out on any of the key sights - the Imperial Cities of Marrakech, Fes, Rabat and Meknes, the dunes of the Sahara, ancient ruins and more, and then rewards you with a few days of rest and relaxation the Atlantic Coast in Essaouira.
The tour takes you to the highlights of Morocco. My favorite memories are the Medina in Fes and the Sunset excursion to the Sahara Desert.
Our guide was very informative.
One downside of trip was all the traveling although there were breaks. There really was no time to enjoy the hotel amenities.
Food was plentiful.Moroccan wine lacks complexity.

I would highly recommend this safari to anyone looking for a safari. We had wonderful places to stay and I'm glad we stayed two nights in each place. The staff in each place were so welcoming, the food was excellent. The safari guides were knowledgeable and shared their knowledge and went out of their way to find the best places to see the wildlife. Our CEO Joseph was fun and helpful and shared so much of his life and knowledge with us making it so memorable and enjoyable. Thank you!

The only thing I would change is that the first day - coming right after most people had taken trans-oceanic flights and still had jet lag - was too demanding (flying to Luxor, touring Karnak before checking into ship). It would have been better to have a lighter Day One to allow for rest and time zone adjustment, and do Karnak on the way back.
The all-women's tour group and the Tour Director were outstanding and hugely enhanced the experience.
Tipping became a constant irritant and would be better if Tour Director handled tips and Insight appropriately raised the package cost, to alleviate that daily chore (ensuring correct currency & denominations, ATM visits, etc.). PS - bring American dollars in small bills.
Overall, a fascinating country, knowledgeable and constantly helpful Tour Director, and a good balance of historic and current experiences. Aswan (and the Cataract Hotel) was a definite highlight, and don't pass on Abu Simbel. It is worth the cost; as is the Aswan boat tour of the Nile (two options worth doing).
