Leave Durban at 6.30am from your Hotel, Guest House or B&B and drive through the Timber and Sugar plantations and the beautiful Zulu villages which lies in the northern Zululand.
We take you to the Hluhluwe Imfolozi Game Reserve which lies 2.5 hours from Durban and is set in the heart of Zululand where Africa’s Big 5 (Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Buffalo and Rhinoceros) roam the flourishing savannah. Established in 1895 this is the oldest park in South Africa and is 98,000 hectares.
The Game Drive takes place in our Land Rover or our Toyota Quantum fully air-condition.
At the end of the tour we drop you back to your accomodation. We look forward to giving you a great and safe game viewing experience in Hluhluwe Imfolozi Game Reserve. Game drive has no specified time as we want to see as much animals as we can.

The 3-day safari to Tarangire, Central Serengeti, and Ngorongoro Crater, was incredible. The scenery was spectacular, and we got to view all of the creatures. Anthony, our guide, was wonderful. Lovely trip, this is my second explore trip, the first was a very experienced guide in Costa Rica, Nathi was our guide for this one he said he was new to explore, what he lacked in explore experience he gained in his buzzing personality and local knowledge, he was a great kind and considerate guide nothing was too much trouble. He arranged things and recommend things sharing his knowledge freely. As he gets more experience he’ll be a great asset to Explore. You never know what people you’ll get on such a holiday and I’m always a bit apprehensive since I don’t suffer fools. Fortunately everyone seemed to bond by the end of the 2 weeks. Re the itinerary it was a good balance, maybe include the wine tasting as part of it instead of an option.
