Planning an Italy trip? Not only is Rome an unforgettable city to enjoy and explore on its own, but it’s also an ideal transport hub for getting around Italy. There are tons of great day trips from Rome you can take to discover the wonders of this beautiful country.

One is the heart of Italy, and the other the soul. Rome and Naples are two destinations that you must include on your trip to Italy. Rome provides an epic start to your journey with its Renaissance art, historic sites like the Colosseum, and quintessential Italian culture. A trip to Naples, on the other hand, allows you to explore a different side of Italy. The ancient city, overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, is known for its buzzing energy, incredible food scene (Naples is considered the birthplace of pizza), and easy access to several world-famous sites like the ruins of Pompeii and the stunning Amalfi Coast. Separated by about 225 kilometers (140 miles), there are several ways to get to Naples from Rome. Let’s find out.

Italy is the ideal country to travel to for a number of reasons: the food, the views, the history, the people, everything about this beautiful country feels so perfect. There is no best time to visit Italy as the weather varies depending on which part of the country you’re visiting. But there are some elements that make it easy to answer the question of when to take a trip to Italy.

Located in the Campania region in Southern Italy, the Amalfi Coast is well-known for its 500-foot-tall cliffs, mysterious grottos, and an array of charming seaside towns with cinematic piazzas. Whether you wish to admire the beauty of the colorful village of Positano, hike the Valle Dei Mulini, or explore Villa Cimbrone Gardens and its statues and fountains, there is no shortage of fun activities to enjoy on Italy tours. If you are planning a trip to Rome and Amalfi Coast there are a few different ways to plan.

Need 1 more day in Rome for st Peter's Basilica and the pantheon. Rest was really good.
The include guided tours are informative as they are conducted by local guides. The optional experiences were also well chosen by Insight.
I walked with a cane (awaiting a knee replacement within 2 weeks after the trip. Vivian and the group of travelers were very patient with me. I would suggest this trip for the healthier individuals. Sites were beautiful, but all the walking is a challenge if handicapped. I was very fortunate to be with our special group of 24 and having Vivian as our tour guide! Overall it was a wonderful trip!!!
The most beautiful country I have ever visited. I highly recommend this trip as it captures everything and beyond that Italy has to offer.
The travel director and driver made it a wonderful trip
"Travel Matters" excursions are often just glorified shopping trips. Especially frustrating was going to a "oil/scent" shop for 2 hours
