Tirana Tours in Spring

I struggled to find another company that offers such a unqiue tour like this one to see 4 Balkan countries. Having been to 4 of the other Balkans already I knew somewhat what to expect but Montenegro and Albania delivered some of the most beautiful scenery of them all by var. The climbs are tough and hill climb training is really important if you want to enjoy some of the days, but once you reach the summit this is quickly forgotten, as others say it is stunning and some of the best routes I have cycled around the world.

I highly recommend the 'Undiscovered Balkans' tour. We visited a variety of sites in the three countries on the itinerary, both in rural and mountainous areas and in the major cities, including all three capitals. The accommodations were very adequate and the mostly bus-based transportation was excellent. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and very professional.

The entire tour ran smoothly. The guide was realy informed and helpful. I was bitten by a dog and he reacted quickly got me to hospital to receive the required treatment.

The tour was very varied and interesting. Some beautiful scenery, interesting sites and museums. Our guide Geri was very knowledgeable, helpful and personable. He was very popular with the group and obviously well respected and liked by the other Albanian guides. We really enjoyed the tour and would unhesitatingly recommend it.

The experience of cycling in Albania was very interesting as far as seeing different parts of the country, interacting with Albanian people, learning about the culture and history and cycling through forests and fields and down to the beaches. The cycling itself was quite hard in terms of the hills, but because of the bikes/gears it was very attainable. We were able to stop and rest, as necessary and always had support and encouragement from our guide and the van.

Excellent tour , good itinerary. I would say it’s not full on but moderately relaxed in respect of no early morning starts and always at our hotels by late afternoon, so plenty of time to relax before dinner. Dennis our tour leader was excellent, his knowledge of the country was unbelievable and always interesting.
