Tirana Tours in April 2026

Our guide was excellent, didn’t put a foot wrong. Albania is lovely, and so were the people I met. It is safe and relaxed and relatively unspoilt, and it defies expectations - well it did mine. It is packed full of history, going back to ancient times. I would go and see it now before it turns into another Costa Brava, which is the direction it appears to be headed in. Explore does a good job of showing you round.

We highly recommend Highlights of Albania. The trips were highly organised and our guide Geri was very knowledgeable and looked after us well. It was our first trip with Explore.

Had an absolute blast during my visit in late February. Although prior to travelling everyone kept telling me you’re travelling in the wrong season nonetheless Berkana and Ana were off tremendous help ensuring I got to see Albania outside of the capital. Working their magic and working out routes that are supposingly closed due to tourist low season. I was fortune enough to have Ana as tour guide throughout my 4 tours with them hands down the best tour guide I have ever came across throughout my long travels. She’s very informative, outgoing and extremely patriotic so you could easily spot how passionate she is with what she loves doing. I was honestly out spending some good quality time with a close friend♥️ she’s also extremely multitalented videographer, photographer, and if you’re lucky enough she might bust out some of her phenomenal passion to dance moves😉 a 100% will be back in the summer to explore more and definitely with them. Words can’t express how thankfully I am🙏🏻

Sirma was terrific. She took us to little out of the way places (like the Kommittee bar) and really gave us a good overview of the city, Tirana history, etc. We wanted to sample some local cuisine and we definitely did (yum, barek). Highly recommend!

Albania is a gem to visit. The rugged snow capped mountains to the blue Ionian Sea, there is much scenery to take in. The small villages have character of days of old. The people are friendly and helpful. Edjon the tour guide was excellent. His enthusiasm to share his country with others was infectious. Edjon was prepared, knowing all the information to enlighten the group about Albania. His outgoing personality, individual attention when needed, and small surprises he had planned along the way kept the trip interesting. Edjon is a top tier tour guide, that we were blessed to have in Albania.

When I told friends I was going to Albania, the most common response was "why?". Albania is relatively new to tourism so it's a great time to explore the country. The locals are curious to get to know us which is a rarity in Europe. Albania doesn't have really show stopping sights but there are a number of significant highlights which hold your interest throughout and make this a fascinating trip.
