I have had an amazing time in Croatia exploring the Dalmatian coast. All the hotels were good and in great locations. The itinerary was the right mix of cycling and exploring local towns and villages. The tour leader was brilliant. So much knowledge about the area. Showed alot of patience with a group with mixed cycling abilities.

Well organised and visits to some different places were appreciated, such as - Villa do Maser - Rovereto and the World War 1 museum and Peace Bell - Motovun and pasta making - Tesla museum And some better known places were excellent - postojana caves - lake Bled despite the rain - Plitvice despite the wet weather - Rovinj was very relaxing and the hotel great The guides we had along the way were all excellent - Loretto in Rovereto - Karen in Bled - Yannis in Ljubljana - Anna at Plitvice lakes Hotels all good with the last one in Zadar being “adequate”. A few things to consider - Apollo Grappa Museum - one to leave out noting that there was no one who enjoyed Grappa on our tour. It’s an acquired taste. - Breaks along the way would have been better at small villages rather than roadside petrol stops. There were 2 large roadside stops that were worthwhile. - Could have done with more suggestions for restaurants from the Blue-Roads Guide Martina. And a bit more social / lighthearted interaction with her generally rather than the formal approach that was taken. - The organised meals we had along the way were great apart from the farewell meal in where the offerings were massive (apart from fish which was excellent); the meat meal was dried out. - We found the ending a bit strange in being offloaded in the Split waterfront. Suggest a morning in Split with a guided tour then a final lunch or dinner to round things off. Don’t take any of this as complaints - they are suggestions on what could be improved for next time - and from a personal perspective. Thoroughly enjoyed, will recommend and it was a wonderful group of people we toured with.

This was my first experience with Explore. Most people on the trip had been on numerous trips with Explore, which was impressive. After this experience I would consider other possibilities with Explore as well. I prefer to travel with a small group, which was one of the attractions for me to sign on with Explore; the pace was relaxing, the hotels were modest but very clean with great breakfast options and the walks were beautiful. Our tour leader, Damir, was excellent - a nice blend of professional and friendly and an astonishing historian regarding Croatia!

This was my first trip with Explore. Enjoyed the walks. The hotels were satisfactory. Our tour guide, Damir, was exceptional. He was extremely knowledgeable, and made every effort to make the trip special for us.

David was an outstanding guide. Top notch. His skills, personality and genuine joy of his work made the trip memorable. We felt well looked after. We loved Croatia, the group and the itinerary. We used e-bikes, but the majority of people were on regular bikes and got through it just fine. There was always Borges, our fearless driver, nearby with water, snacks, our backpacks and most importantly, ready to fix anything that could have gone wrong with the bikes. I highly advise staying in Dubrovnik an extra night. It’s a city that’s best seen at night.

Enjoyed having David as our tour leader and Borsca as the driver. Both were professional, knowledgeable and kind. They helped to make this tour an enjoyale experience. The group size and dynamics were good and the people such a joy to be with . This was my first biking tour (and on an ebike) and it exceeded my expectations in every way,...the accomdations (excellent locations and comfort level), the ride itself (was awed by the beauty of Croatia's landscape and towns and was comfortable with the pace); and was expecially glad to have the opportunity to swim in the sea and visit some of the towns. .
