I found the tour both enjoyable and educational. It had a good mix of rural and cities; we were introduced to the country's food, culture and most interesting history. Our tour guide was well informed and socialised easily with the group. The driver was helpful, organised and made us feel safe whilst travelling. I very much enjoyed Coimbra and Nazare, but one could add many other locations to the list.

Good sampling of the country, great tour guide, seasoned fellow travelers made the experience richer. Guide was exceptional in her knowledge and accessibility; this set a tone for a collaborative and cooperative experience. Many excellent hotels, some could have been nicer. Travel to small farms and tastings kept the program from feeling impersonal and "corporate." There was a good amount of free time, but often, during siesta, so hard to plan shopping, museums or other leisure activities. That could be easily adjusted.

Back road tour Portugal was simply fantastic. Our tour guide Vitor was so knowledgeable was able to relate to all ages on the trip the group was very small 17 only we were taken to such beautiful destinations. Accommodation was fantastic and we had lots of “not on the itinerary” stops which were just fabulous I would highly recommend this trip to anyone

Wonderful guide and tour. We got to see so many amazing, beautiful and historic places and learnt so much about Portuguese history, culture and cuisine. This was all managed wonderfully by our fun, friendly and competent guide, Georgina from Argentinian, who spoke fluent English ,Spanish, Portuguese, and some Italian. Being in a small group of 16 we felt we could ask questions and nothing was to much bother.
