Though the regular included itinerary is great, a friend told me (before my 1st tour), that the extra experiences are what really make the trip. And she was right!! I always take the extra experiences and just consider it part of the tour.

We enjoyed every aspect of our holiday. The accommodation was very comfortable, Christina was a wonderful host. The walking was outstanding, with great views over the Pinhao and Douro valleys.

Rita, our tour guide, was excellent. She was knowledgeable, helpful, and cheerful. Our driver, Julio, was an excellent driver and we certainly felt safe with him. He was also very cheerful and easy to talk to.

We did all the extra excursions and found them interesting. I would have liked more time in Nazare as i would have loved to have visited the surf museum in the light house. We then had too much time one & half hours for shopping and lunch in the township that left me frustrated.

The itinerary was good. I do feel that we were rushed in some places, and there were places we visited where I would have liked to spend more time in and some where we could have just stopped for quick visit instead of an overnight stay. Overall, I feel like this is a good trip to visit Portugal, but their are some adjustments that could be made to make it amazing!
