Be prepared for a lot of travelling, some days for up to six hours but comfort breaks are built in and relevant videos are played on the coach. Some accommodation is better than others but all was clean and comfortable. We saw and experienced lots of things we would have missed had we arranged the trip ourselves. The tour director and driver were excellent and very helpful and knowledgeable.

As always with Kings the tour director Margate and coach driver Mark both did excellent jobs. The accommodation as always was very good, the food was also very good. I would recommend AAT Kings to anyone wanting a great experience

The trip was amazing. Saw so many places and met lots of lovely people. The tour has long days as you have to cover great distances some days but it is worth it for the varied landscapes and experiences that are on offer. Taking a camel ride along cable beach at sunset. Walking on shell beach, seeing dolphins, turtles, rays and incredible wildlife. Snorkelling, swimming in fern pool in Dale Gorge, walking among the pinnacles and finishing the tour with an entertaining talk by Derek an aboriginal. Carolyn. Tour director had so much knowledge to impart and took us to some incredible places. Terry the driver was amazing and kept us on the road and topped up with water. Nothing was too much for them. The accommodation varied, from luxury to a miner’s cabin but they were all clean and did the job. Remember we were at times in very remote areas and there is not a lot of choice. Embrace the experience. Would recommend taking the tour if you want to experience Western Australia.

I must say that I throughly enjoyed my South Western Escape tour with AAT Kings bus company. Why, you say? Well… let’s start with the people they employ. People like Margaret, our tour guide and Mark, our driver. Such professional people who ensure the comfort and quality of the tour is their number one priority. Nothing was too big or small a request for these two to get right in there and give a helping hand. Then there’s the bus itself! Modern, clean and comfortable, with wide windows for picture taking and I shouldn’t forget the charging ports on board. Videos that relate to particular steps are shown to increase your awareness of what is coming up. Great accomodation, comfortable, clean, that are well positioned in the towns and cities you visit. There is a variety of meals to be had and every one of them were of a good standard and quality. Lastly, and it is by no means last, is the itinerary, which is really the reason that you wanted to go in the first place. Everything down to the last item is timed perfectly and meticulously planned. The information provided is most interesting and I found myself listening with baited breathe. There’s only one thing wrong that I can mention and that’s the last evening meal together. It means that you have to say good bye to the friends you’ve made along the way. However, sometimes, like me, you may meet up again with them on the next AAT trip that you take! Don’t wait, join an AAT Kings bus holiday today as you’ll never be this young again in your life! I did and I had a ball. Mrs. Elisabeth MacPherson.

I had never participated in an organised tour like this and can now say I'd definitely do it again. Especially with AAT Kings. They are so professional and accommodating to all travellers needs. They ensured our experience was absolutely fantastic. In fact, I plan on joining them again for their 15 day Adelaide to Darwin tour. 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

Best way to see the West Coast!

Had the best 7 days on this tour! The scenery you see and activities you get to do and wildlife you see is impossible to describe in a way that does it all justice. You just have to go and see & experience it yourself! Abseiling, swimming with manta rays and snorkeling with the whalesharks were even more magical than I thought, definitely worth every dollar and more! I'd recommend to get the pro photos from the snorkeling tours, there is no way you get better ones yourself with a gopro :P Accommodation is in mixed share dorms, all hostels were clean and nice. There is an option to upgrade to a private room as well (if available so definitely prebook!) There was so much food and it was delicious, even as a vegan I was well fed throughout the tour ^^ Your guide/driver Carla is just the best person ever

Perth - Tour Highlights and Travel Tips

art galleries, independent cinemas and some of the finest eateries in the country. When all this is taken into consideration, it becomes clear why a trip to Perth is a must-visit stop for all travelers exploring Western Australia.

Tour Highlights

  • Swan Valley is one of Australia’s oldest wine regions. This tranquil getaway is home to a number of rustic cellars, but also art galleries, restaurants and lush vineyards that stretch as far as the eye can see.
  • Perth boasts exquisite urban greenery, with Kings Park being the prime example. This luscious oasis is nestled in the central district, overlooking the Swan River.
  • Art Gallery of Western Australia is contained within the Perth Cultural Center; it houses a large collection which includes indigenous art and more contemporary pieces by Australian and international artists.
  • Caversham Wildlife Park is the prime destination for getting acquainted with Australia’s exotic wildlife. At this family-friendly reserve, you can interact with kangaroos, wombats and other animals native to this part of the world.

Travel Tips

  • Perth boasts more sunny days than any other major Australian city. Due to its Mediterranean-like climate, you can expect favorable weather year-round; however, if you want to secure ideal temperatures and minimal chances of rain, make sure to visit Perth between the months of December and March.
  • No trip to Perth would be complete without lazing around on one of its alluring beaches. Despite its reputation for being the most popular sandy getaway in the city, Scarborough Beach still offers plenty of room and tranquility to all of its visitors.
  • While in Perth, make sure to visit the nearby town of Freemantle, a historic maritime hub that has been transformed into a treasure trove of cultural attractions, bustling markets and chic boutiques.
