Excellent

the Japan intro tour was absolutely incredible. I smiled and laughed my way through Japan and we won the tour guide lottery with Jordan. He was fantastic and made the group dynamic wonderful and so much fun. I was so relaxed and chilled as we knew we were safe with him and he could get us all from A to B. Would not hesitate to book again. Thank you so much Jordan and thank you Intro.

Ancient and Modern Japan

This tour was amazing on many levels. From the beginning, communications were prompt, helpful, and clear. All questions and concerns were addressed. The tour preparation information was very helpful and appropriate, assisting in smooth transition for the tour. The tour guide, agenda, and opportunities for personal impute, made the tour like a customized personal tour. Attention to needs and wants of the participants was consistently attended to, making the tour so very pleasurable and memorable.

Really enjoyed the trip, although we underestimated the level of fitness required to complete all the walking/hiking/climbing involved. For all that we had a wonderful time, and there were options to short circuit some of the more challenging hikes.

Excellent

I travelled with Intro to Japan in April 2023. This was my first experience travelling with a group and a tour guide so I had no idea what to expect. Safe to say it has exceeded all of my expectations! It was superbly organised with a great range of activities. Our group was lead by a knowledgeable team leader, Michelle, who became like a big sister to us all, making sure we had the most fun whilst getting us everywhere safely and also making sure we got the most out of our trip by suggesting things to do in our free time. I would highly recommend this type of trip to anyone who wants to experience the best of what Japan has to offer without the hassle of organising it yourself. Thank you Michelle for the BEST memories!

Excellent

My recent trip to Thailand was amazing. Ive not stopped talking about it since I came back. I did the 13 day Thai experiance and it was well worth the money. Our guide, Dan, was fantastic at catering for dietary requirements and making sure that our group was looked after. One night I was sick and he made sure I got back safely and checked in on me. The trip was really well organised, very little waiting arround and I dont think I couldve done the same number of things even if Id given myslef 21 days rather than 13! Overall, I really loved the trip and am booking in for the Japan tour hopefully soon!

thoughtfully designed itinerary

The itinerary was thoughtfully designed, allowing us to explore a wide range of fascinating destinations throughout the trip. Activity level was 1, not 3 as advertised. The hotels were comfortable, with two exceptions: Hotel SUI Kyoto Kiyomizu in Kyoto - Situated on a busy main road, the hotel suffered from significant noise even during nighttime hours due to poor sound insulation. Breakfast was consistently overcrowded. Route Inn Kawaguchiko - The room was small and dimly lit, with a window facing a concrete wall just two metres away. The décor was dated; it felt like the last renovation was done in the 1980s, and the breakfast offering was disappointing in both quality and variety. In contrast, Hotel Monterey Akasaka in Tokyo stood out as the best accommodation - stylish, comfortable, and well located. Dining independently was a highlight of the trip. We enjoyed excellent meals at various local restaurants, often at very reasonable prices. However, the two complimentary dinners provided in Takayama were surprisingly poor in quality. In hindsight, it would have been preferable to explore dining options on our own that evening as well. Public transportation was generally a positive experience and added to the trip's authenticity. That said, the day spent navigating Kyoto’s local buses and trains resulted in more time waiting than sightseeing. Additionally, the transfer from Kawaguchiko to Tokyo consumed most of the day. A chartered bus would have significantly reduced travel time to under two hours, and allowed for a more relaxed and efficient transition.
