Excellent

This tour was a great experience with a lot of new impressions and good insights into the Japanese culture. Takae made it special. We thank her for all her engagement and support.

An excellent and high paced tour (take your comfortable walking shoes and be prepared for a little mud underfoot when visiting the snow monkeys too). Marco added to the experience by sharing his insights and knowledge and taking us to local places that really made the tour.

Overall very well organised and conducted except that on Day 3 16 April in Kyoto, we were left after visit to Gion district and expected to get back to the hotel by ourselves using bus or taxi. Given the long day alternate transport should have been arranged.

Experiencing Japan caused changes within us. It was a trip we will never forget. We also loved our group and our guide Ayako and made permanent friends; something we did not anticipate. Ayako was the key contributor to our having a wonderful journey. She simply made hard things easy. I would recommend to anyone who visits Japan for the first time, to have an experienced guide and an itinerary of things to do. The learning curve is steep, but a good teacher like Ayako made it so we could come back to Japan with confidence.

Iconic Japan provided an amazing adventure that I would definitely recommend. It is active and fast-paced, but if you want to see the sights, experience the culture, and let someone else take care of the travel details, booking with National Geographic and G Adventures is the way to go. The level and quality of service ensured that I will check back for future trips. This was an unforgettable trip!

My sister and i had the best time- the tour guides, the other members of the tour group and the tour itself were all marvellous. It exceeded our expectations. We loved the small villages and guest houses we stayed in.
