Fell in love with Vietnam – thanks to Realistic Asia and Evelyn!

Vietnam truly exceeded my expectations! My 11-day journey was well-organized, with the perfect mix of sightseeing and relaxation. A huge thanks to Evelyn, who made sure everything ran smoothly and tailored the trip to my preferences. The local guides were friendly and informative, making the experience even more enjoyable. I’ll definitely be back!

Memorable trip for the whole family

This trip was such a great way for our family to explore both Vietnam and Thailand. The itinerary was good with interesting experiences. Hotels were comfy, guides were friendly, knowledgeable about places, and the food was amazing. Really appreciate how the team organized everything professionally.

Vietnam was beautiful but the service made it unforgettable

My family chose Vietnam the destination for our winter break and the company we put our trust in to give us a memorable trip. And to be honest, we couldn't be more right when this team gave us even better than what we have asked for, from the arrival to all the sightseeing and even to the depature, the team was never leaving us alone even if that's not part of their duty.

Brian was an excellent travel advisor

Brian was an excellent travel advisor. He helped us plan this fantastic 14-day trip and was always available to assist us while we were on it. We had no complaints, the experience was full of interesting sights and beautiful locations. I highly recommend this trip and Brian's services - 10/10!

Unforgettable!

My best friends and I took this trip because we have always been amazed by the culture of Southeast Asia. Our tour was great and our guides were lovely, they shared many interesting facts about both Vietnamese culture and history. We enjoined all of our activities.

Hue — Tour Highlights and Travel Tips

Explore the merchant’s quarter and the historic citadel. Head further afield to see the royal mausoleums. Rent a boat and drift down the scenic Perfume River or take a bike and explore the surrounding countryside. See the DMZ and learn about the history of the Vietnam war on a day trip.

Tour Highlights

  • The Imperial Citadel was Hue’s center of power in the 1700s and is made up of temples, palaces, court buildings and gardens that tourists can explore.
  • The Thai Hoa Palace is a decorative palace full of ornate details inside the Citadel.
  • The Thien Mu pagoda is a 21-meter-high historic Buddhist temple built in 1844.
  • Bach Ma National Park is a park close to Hue with forests, waterfalls and hiking trails.
  • The tomb of Minh Mang is a grand former emperor’s tomb set in ornate gardens.

Travel Tips

  • Bring a raincoat. Hue sees the most rain of any city in Vietnam and flooding is common, especially between October and December.
  • Sample the local cuisine, which includes dishes like bun bo Hue (noodle soup with sliced beef and chili oil) and banh khoai (pancakes served with a special peanut sauce).
  • Hue is purported to be the birthplace of the non la, the bamboo conical hat – so if you’ve been hankering after one of these, this is where to buy it!
