We recently completed the Everest Circuit trek with World Expeditions, travelling as a family of six — and it was truly the experience of a lifetime. Choosing to do a trek of this scale with teenagers and young adults meant we were especially focused on safety, support, and strong logistics. We chose World Expeditions because of their excellent reputation for health and safety, and we are so glad we did. Not only did all six of us complete the full circuit (a goal we weren’t sure we’d achieve!), we did it feeling supported, well cared for, and genuinely uplifted by the experience. Our trek leader, Juddha, was exceptional — calm, experienced, knowledgeable, and kind. He guided us with quiet confidence, always making sure we were safe, informed, and encouraged at every stage. The porters and kitchen crew were equally impressive — warm, capable, and somehow full of energy even when we were exhausted. The food was amazing, the logistics seamless, and the team spirit unbeatable. From Gokyo Ri to Cho La Pass, Base Camp, Kala Pattar, and back through the villages, the landscapes were jaw-dropping — but what really made the trip was the people and the care behind it all. This wasn’t just a holiday — it was a life-changing experience. One we’ll talk about as a family for decades to come. We can’t recommend World Expeditions highly enough — especially if you’re looking for a trusted company to guide you through one of the most breathtaking adventures on Earth.

I was very impressed with the tour run by World Expeditions. Their level of care and professionalism exceeded all my expectations. Juddah, Mila, Gurwinder and Dillip were so patient, kind and attentive to all of our needs. It was a challenging adventure and nothing was too difficult for them. They made us feel like family and aimed to please at every chance. I highly recommend travelling with this company, in particularly with this crew. These men are a credit to this company.

The Gokyo & Renjo La Pass trip with World Expeditions went above and beyond my expectations. This was my first time visiting Nepal and it won't be my last. The trip was planned flawlessly with the right amount of mileage/rest each day, the food was exceptional and the leadership/experience of Ananad our lead guide and the rest of the team was top notch. I couldn't recommend this trip more for an amazing mix of hiking, culture, and incredible views!

This trip was so much fun. The trek was a quieter route than the EBC, and the scenery was phenomenal. I was blown away by the inclusions from World Expeditions. Our guides Anand, Sandip and Ram were both experienced and professional and we were well looked after for the entirety of the trek.

Our trip to Gokyo Lakes and the Renjo La Pass was amazing! Anand, our lead guide was great - always looking out for everyone to make sure each person was doing ok and enjoyed their experience. The rest of the staff - the cooks, porters and other guides, all helped ensure we had a great time. The food was something else - it was amazing to see just what could be made each day. This was our first trip with World Expeditions, but I certainly hope it won't be our last!

This was my 2nd adventure with World Expeditions and, honestly, I can't wait for my 3rd. The most stress-free way to have an incredible adventure, meet amazing like-minded travellers and also meet incredible locals. The team that looked after us were the kind and caring and always had our well being at the forefront of everything they did. Accommodations were great and the food was even better. Gokyo Lakes Trek - Safety considerations

We take safety very seriously here at BookMundi, as do all the trekking agencies on Bookmundi.com. All our trekking agencies are assessed on their safety standards after every trek, via trekkers’ feedback. They will therefore go through safety procedures with you during your pre-trek meeting. However, please note the following particulars for the Gokyo trek:

  • This is a high altitude trek and therefore careful acclimatization is needed.
  • Ensure acclimatization days are taken during the trek to avoid altitude sickness.
  • Please make sure you are well prepared for the climate for that part of the season. In the Khumbu region, temperatures can drop to below freezing in late autumn and early spring. The temperature dip even further down during winters.
