Faro Tours and Trips

Although we had a good holiday and the accommodation and tour leader were extremely good. We were a little disappointed because we would have liked more coastal walks. We felt the walks inland were a little uninspiring with regards to views etc. That said we do come from the South West of England and are a bit spoilt for coastal walks. Overall we enjoyed the holiday and Ester the guide could not have been better.

My holiday was very enjoyable, wonderful scenery, great food and company. The guide was excellent as were the hotels. The itinerary was well planned with plenty of time to explore on your own.

Really enjoyed the holiday. We had perfect weather for walking and the flowers were in bloom. Beautiful sea views. Our leader Lidia was great. She was friendly, organised and caring. Two people fell on different days and she was very competent and calm. Room in the hotel was spotless and spacious with a balcony. Only possible improvement is if there was a bar / coffee area in the hotel. The hotel provides free tea / coffee but cups / mugs are limited and there is really only one sofa to sit on inside. Great space outside. I would recommend this holiday.

This was a very enjoyable holiday at exactly the level described, with interesting walks which did not take up the whole day. We explored salt marshes and beaches, cork woodland and towns. The leader we had (Rocio) is knowledgeable and thoughtful and kept us well-informed about the itinerary. She also had good recommendations for evening meals and cafés. The hotel was delightful, with excellent breakfasts, quiet rooms, a rooftop bar and a swimming pool. As an introduction to walking in the Eastern Algarve and the local traditions this was lovely - you have to budget for extra meals out during the day, which sometimes felt excessive for someone who usually does self-catering hols like me, but it did make for a very relaxing time.

Great refreshing week in Portugal with an excellent guide and extremely good accommodation. Our group of 16 melded together well and the coastal routes amongst a variety of wild flowers set us up well for dinners together at a series of high quality local restaurants which served seafood and local meats perfectly. We found the walking easy with normal caution for rough ground. Plenty to see on our day off in the middle and a close beach was perfect for a swim.

An excellent trip, made so by a warm and positive group, a talented and well-informed guide ( Rocio) and an interesting and varied itinary. Our hotel was very comfortable and well located, and Tavira is a very pretty town, full of excellent restaurants and attractions. The walking was quite easy, but special because of the abundance of wild flowers and birdsong around us and the opportunities to swim on the way. Highly recommended!
