This trip had everything. Incredible history, architecture, scenery, high mountain passes and friendly locals. The Potala Palace and views of Everest were highlights. Our guide and driver were great. Very knowledgable and gave us plenty of time to explore. The trip was very well organised too. Can recommend it.

We were so well looked after by the world expedition team. Always felt safe and well informed about the trek. The Scenery was amazing and we were so lucky with the weather. I will definitely travel with world expeditions again, world class travels.

I recently completed a holiday trek with World Expeditions to Tyangboche Monastery in the stunning Khumbu Valley of Nepal, and I can confidently say it was a five-star experience from start to finish. The organisation was flawless—every detail was thoughtfully planned and executed, making the journey smooth and stress-free. The staff were simply brilliant: knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely passionate about the region and our experience. From guides to porters, everyone went above and beyond. The facilities throughout the trek were first class, offering comfort and cleanliness even in the most remote locations. The food was outstanding—nutritious, delicious, and varied, keeping us energised and satisfied every day. What truly made the trip special were my fellow trekkers. The camaraderie, shared stories, and mutual encouragement created a warm and inspiring atmosphere that I’ll never forget. If you're considering a trek in Nepal, I wholeheartedly recommend World Expeditions. This journey to Tyangboche Monastery was not just a holiday—it was a life-enriching adventure.

This trek was BRILLIANT for so many reasons - World Expeditions plan and prepare this wonderful trek with care & many provisions, including safety, information, on tack support, good and plentiful food, good accommodation.... - the guides are first rate in every way, the time of year was perfect (not too many crowds) and the trekkers were a lovely group of people, the mountains were magic - a total highlight of my hiking life!

The Gokyo Ri/Renjo La trek met all of my expectations. We had issues getting to Lukla with a closed highway to Ramecamp & then poor weather causing flights to be delayed, however, Bikash (our guide) managed to sort out helicopters so that the trek could occur. Weather was perfect with clear skies in the morning & some cloud in the afternoons, making for great viewing of mountains such as Ama Dablam, Cho Oyu & Everest. Accommodation & food was very good with hot showers available at some locations (for additional $). Some people experienced issues with altitude with one couple having to be helicoptered out at Gokyo. Bikash again sorted all of this out. Would certainly rate this trek as challenging, especially the 3&1/2hr climb up to Gokyo Ri - 800m straight up. Thoroughly enjoyed this trip & rate it as one of the best treks in the Himalayas given that I have also done Annapurna circuit, Kanchenjunga & Laya via Gasa trek in Bhutan. Final call out for the WEX team of guides, cooks & porters who worked hard & were always very professional.

Exceptional!

A well-designed trek with carefully planned stages and acclimatization days. The guide was professional, experienced, attentive, encouraging, and reassuring. It was an exceptional experience with a very warm and friendly atmosphere. The pace was well-adapted—we traveled as a family, with parents aged 69 and a son aged 34.
