Bari Tours in Summer

We went with 10 friends and loved it. Our guide Apollonia was top notch and our hotels were in great locations and nice. Matera is the 3rd oldest city in the world and did not disappoint We loved our hotel in Vietri and the town was charming as well. Glad we were there for 4 nights as we travelled by ferry to Amalfi and Poisitano and the highlight was spending time in Ravello which had better shopping. This tour is not for anyone with knee or hip issues as lots of stairs and uneven stone terrain. I only travel Collette’s small tours as we were 24ppl only and went to places larger groups can not Highly recommend Collette

Loved visiting the Lemon orchid and lemoncello tasting. Both the wine and olive oil tastings were great too. All hotels had the best locations and 4 star properties. I like traveling with Collette’s exploration product line as we were only 24 passenger's. The thermal pools and spa in Matera were a great way to relax for the afternoon Our weather in May was perfect. Love Collette!!!!

I took the "Reverse Puglia" trip June 18 to 25, 2024. It was a great trip and overview of Puglia. We stayed in trulias in Alberobello and a cave room in Matera. Everything about the grip was perfect, the pace, the places we visited, the food and local guides. However the best part of the trip was Gabriele the tour guide. He took care of everyone and was funny, intelligent, gracious and a pure delight. He is what made the trip so special and memorable, a philosopher that showed us Puglia.

Sonia was an excellent tour leader and was always available for any questions or requirements we had. She was always friendly and outgoing am made the trip very pleasurable.

Every day was great. One suggestion would be to increase the time at Pompeii. Tour guide did not keep moving and so much was missed. Could have had a lunch break and then continue to see more. The winery could have been a stop for dinner instead. The water buffalo could have been eliminated and something better added.
