Bari Tours and Trips

My trip to Puglia with Explore was wonderful! Each town we visited was beautiful and special. Sleeping in a cave in Matera and trulli house in Alberobello were truly unique experiences. Our guide, Antongiulio, was excellent! He was knowledgeable, organized and thoughtful. He picked the most wonderful restaurants each night, which added to the experience. Thank you, Explore, for another great trip!

A really varied range of experiences in a historic and beautiful part of Italy. Delicious food and quality wines throughout and amazing local bread particularly in Altamura. Accommodation ideally located in the central old quarters of each town.

This tour was great because we stayed in some unusual accommodation in beautiful old towns. The pace was just right with time allowed to wander the sights on your own. The tour leader Anton was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable and really friendly. He was always very considerate to all the members of the group particularly in the heat. The whole holiday went very smoothly and was particularly good this time because of the other members of the group. We all had a great time.

Wonderful, interesting sites to see. Learned a lot about Italy that we never knew. Stayed at great hotels, including a cave and a dome hut in a cute little village. Perfect guide who was very knowledgeable about his country and the places we visited. Loved all the small towns and the historical sites and information.

Our tour leader was excellent as he had great knowledge of all of the sites we visited, had a fun personality and made the tour a success. When walking with the group he set a pace that was comfortable for all. The visits to Alberobello and its Trullis and to Matera and the cave accommodation were both unique experiences.

We loved having our home base in Minori for four nights instead of packing up and moving every two days. Each day we ventured out on a tour of the surrounding towns. Accommodations were wonderful except I was surprised that the lodging did not take into consideration that two single women could be sharing a room and twin beds would have been a better option. It was a good thing we were close friends and didn’t mind sleeping in the same bed.
