What a wonderful trip! After a bit of challenge finding our taxi transfer at Casablanca airport the holiday went very smoothly. The itinerary was excellent, well curated with just enough flexibility to suit the group's needs. We thoroughly enjoyed the variety of experiences and the expertise and humour of all the local guides that we met on our travels The accommodation was very good and mostly met expectations as described, however the final riad in Marrakech was only a 3 star hotel and a 25 minute walk from the centre of town, which surprised me on an 'Upgraded' tour. It was perfectly adequate and certainly met our needs, just not what I expected at the end of the trip. We were lucky to find ourselves with a terrific group of fellow travellers who all got on very well, however my highest praise goes to our group tour leader, Ibrahim who was exceptional. Ibrahim is very knowledgeable and passionate about his country. He paced the trip well and was particularly adept at 'reading' the group and tweaking the plans where it would add to our comfort and enjoyment. His energy and enthusiastic personality together with his understanding and caring nature ensured that all group members had the very best holiday possible.

The Grand Tour of Morocco was a very good experience. Our guide Omar and driver Hussan were excellent. Hussan kept our minibus spotless and was always warm and friendly, helping out wherever he could. Our guide Omar went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. He was always available to solve any issues that came up, and tried to cater to our group to make sure we had what we needed and wanted. We only had seven people on our tour, which made the 14 passenger seat minibus (which was brand new) very comfortable. We had a good combination of group activities and independent time on our own. I was a solo traveller, and enjoyed getting to know everyone on the tour. The tour was in February, which turned out to be a great time to be in Morocco. It was cool in the morning and evenings, and comfortably warm in the afternoon. Bring warm sweaters and a good jacket if you visit in February. The best part was there weren’t too many tourists around making sites easier to visit and restaurants easier to get a good table. I found the Moroccan people to be very friendly, and I never felt unsafe anywhere we went. Our guide made sure we had our bearings in each new city or town we stayed in so it was easy to get around. The accommodations ranged from very good to shabby. I don’t mind basic accommodation as long as it’s clean, but one hotel we stayed for two nights was run down and not clean. The Riad we stayed in on our last night was beautiful and very comfortable. I also really enjoyed both nights at the Nomad camps in the desert. There were some very long days on the minibus (six to eight hours of driving on a few days), but our guide made sure we had stops to stretch our legs. We covered well over 3000 kilometres on this tour, which provided a great opportunity to really see the country. I would highly recommend this tour so long as you’re prepared for the full on pace and some long days. Again, I can’t say enough how much I appreciated our guide and driver.

A great tour full of variety. Although there was a fair amount of travelling involved, it was definitely worth it for all the different experiences we had . Visiting local families and eating with them , alongside walking in the mountains were a highlight for me. Hassan was a wonderful guide, informative, kind and caring to all. He took us to some amazing local restaurants every night, which we would never have found!

This was a superbly paced and adventurous trek guided by the brilliant Hamid who took time to be sure that everyone was well looked after. The trekking itself was well paced by Hamid with Mustafa supporting. The days preceding the summit day allowed time for beautifully prepared lunches and time to relax (but try to push through to get to Aremd early for a Hammam on day 2). Walking was steady (for me as a regular mountain walker, especially on summit day) but I found poles a real benefit, even though I don't usually use them. Summit day was a cold start in early May, and paced for the whole group to reach the summit together, so more confident walkers were waiting at times. It's a tough day, with very little level walking and a lot of elevation gain (and of course, decent). It feels very different to any UK fell walking, despite the elevation gains not sounding similar to what we have here. The unplanned interaction with locals, the Hamam at Aremd, local knowledge of Hamid and Mustafa and superb support team of porters and chef added interest to the trip. Some of the accommodation was slightly different to advertised, with rooms for 4-5 on one night at Tizi Oussem. Tents and provided camping gear was good quality. The hotel was fine at Marrakech to bookend the trip. I highly recommend bringing one of the Water to Go (or equivalent) bottles. Water is plentiful in streams or other places on the trek, but must be purchased otherwise, and it seems wasteful to rely on this and create a lot of plastic waste. Excellent trip in general. Only negative points for me were that some accommodation was a little tired, the mosque is destroyed but still on the agenda, the argon oil sales trip was a waste of time and there could have been less driving. But many more positives than negatives
