An epic trip, so much packed in. Erickson our tour leader is an exceptional guide and a lovely person and he did everything he could to make our trip the best possible experience. We were so lucky to have a trip led by him and we are very grateful for all the extras, time and care he took to make the trip so special. I would recommend Explore wholeheartedly, don’t hesitate, Peru is a wonderful country.

The itinerary was as expected although some of the details were out of date or obsolete. An up to date review would be useful. Lucie, the Explore Leader was exceptional!

Very-well designed itinerary, starting with a couple of long coach journeys at the beginning (including the overnight coach journey) to bond the group, with the tour getting better and better as it progressed. Our leader, Darwin, was simply brilliant, going the "extra mile" on various occasions and providing several experiences that were not set out in the itinerary (including a view of the sunset over Arequipa from a rooftop bar, plus a brewery tasting session in Cusco). Macchu Picchu lived up to all the hype, but my personal highlight was the night on Taquile Island, despite the basic accommodation, and the morning walk across the island. All the local guides were excellent. All in all, a fantastic introduction to southern Peru.

This was an excellent trip and lived up to my expectations. I was concerned about the use of public busses but they were of a good standard and in retrospect one of the many interesting experiences. My worry about altitude were unfounded. The guides experience and care meant that 95% of us were not greatly affected. Baggage was a problem. Over 50% of the clothes I bought were to hot. It was not cold, temperatures being mostly over 25C and even at night rarely fell below 15C and thius was in October. The guide was superb, so knowledgible and concerned. If your interested I'd say "do it"!

A fortnight in Chile

Great holiday from start to finish. Varied itinerary - I felt as if we’d covered a lot of ground & gained a good insight into the various areas/culture etc of Chile.

Excellent tour. In my view Arturo our guide made sure we made the best of our two weeks making sure we arrived at sites at a good time to make the most of the experience. He had an excellent knowledge of Peru and its history and this made the trip very interesting. We were a mixed group of 10 and we all enjoyed each others company making every day a pleasure.
