Best Time To Visit Scotland
Scotland is on most people’s travel bucket list and for a good reason. When you get to Scotland, you will notice how the country both eschews and completely forgoes the clichés that surround its popularity—there are numerous ruined castles, rolling green hills as far as the eye can see, fields of purpled heather during the fall, and much more. Although some Scots might not like to acknowledge it, but there is a chance you will run into a bagpiper or two, especially during the celebrations.Scottish history and culture are definitely a huge draw for the tourists, but there are a number of modern attractions you should not miss out on either—including outdoor music festivals, world-renowned restaurants, and more. Scotland Tour Reviews

Honest insights from past guests on our Scotland tours

This tours shows the complete Scotland. Your taken from Edinburgh up to top of Scotland and down the other side to Glasgow! The coach was very comfortable and spacious!! The driver ever supplied snacks. I would highly recommend the Country Roads of Scotland tour.

Well-organised itinerary and manageable walks - just right for us. Having a single hotel (rather than moving around) was good. The tour guide - Richie Holding - was outstanding. He was informative, friendly and accommodating. For us, the best day was the walk on Westray to the seabird colonies (especially the puffins).

This was a trip of a lifetime. There is almost nothing I would change. The tour director and the bus driver were great. I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants a broad overview of the Scottish Highlands in less than two weeks. The only negative I have is one of the people on the tour managed to get almost half of all the others sick by spreading germs on the close quarter tour bus.

Loved the tour. Great people, places and experiences. Ben, our tour guide went the extra mile to make sure everyone was well catered for, and his shared knowledge of places we saw along the way was second to none. Renata, our driver, was cool and calm when faced with some tricky situations and we always felt safe in her expert hands.

The tour covers a lot of Scotland and provides a great overview of the country. If you want to spend a lot of time in one or 2 places, this is not the tour for you. Hard to pin down 1 favorite experience but the sheepdog demonstration on the sheep farm was amazing.

The Collette Discover Scotland tour met and exceeded its title. The 9 days were packed with variety, information, comeradery, and beauty. Amber (the tour leader) provided the exact amount of direction and made us feel a part of the Scotland spirit and history. Starting at Glasgow, we made a look all the way up the west to Orkney Island it the North and back to Edinburgh on the southeast. Each stop and activity contributed a piece of the entire puzzle and gave each of us a chance to make the trip personal. The practicality of Glasgow, beauty of Isle of Skye, majesty of the Highlands, adventure of Skara Brae, the Standing stones, the solemnity of Culloden, the excitement of Inverness, and the ethos of Edinburgh built a wonderful kaleidoscope of emotion, sound, and spirit. The lodgings also provided a variety of historic grandeur, practical necessity, and modern convenience. One of my personal best moment was roaming the mist during the early morning at Loch Linnhe ... but there were many other unforgettable and cherished times.
