Romania Cultural, religious historic sites Trips

The tour was GREAT - a lot was packed into the two weeks, but there was more free time than I expected. Our guide was great, very kind, thoughtful, caring and ORGANISED! We covered a LOT of miles and the minibus was pretty comfortable, and we always had regular stops. So much to see - churches, historical buildings, the Danube (!), beautiful cities and lovely countryside. I'd definitely recommend this tour if you are interested in history and culture.

Our tour leader Constantin was amazing and made sure that everyone had a fabulous time. We could not have asked for a better person. He worked hard to ensure everything went to plan, provided clear instructions for each day, gave valuable historical and cultural information and was a great guy to chat to and spend time with. He organised group dinners and arranged additional activities/visits as requested by group members eg boat trip on Danube. We had a delay at immigration on the Serbian boarder and Constantin worked hard to ensure that we held our place in the queue. Overall we were amazed by the whole trip and are very grateful to Constantine and the driver Christian for their hard work and friendship.

Perfect holiday! Accommodation always clean but frequently things didn’t work! (Light fittings, plug sockets etc) Tour guide superb. Food excellent. Small boat trip on the Danube out of this world! Learned so much about the country and it was lovely to see horses carting loads of hay etc. So much still done in a traditional way.

This was my first solo trip and must say it was life changing. Our guide Robbin was superb, incredibly knowledgeable, professional, supportive, flexible, insightful and inspirational to name just a few. It was a lovely group of eight that gelled and all had a positive and similar outlook. The itinerary was varied, well planned and just the right challenges for the group. I came away with new friends and the desire to do another trip with Explore very soon. I cannot fault anything about the company or itinerary, very pleased that the holiday description was accurate, in fact it exceeded my expectations. I urge anyone who is unsure….go for it, you won’t regret it!

Really enjoyed my hiking trip to Romania. It was lead by a extremely knowledgeable guide Robbin. He prepared the group well for the tough hike. Staying in mountain huts and guest houses really added to the experience. The food and company was excellent all week. This trip was exactly what I needed,I would definitely recommend if you want a challenging holiday.

I had a fantastic time on my Balkan Dream tour with Europamundo, booked through Tours4Fun. Everything was smooth from booking to the day‑by‑day itinerary. As a solo traveler, the room‑sharing option was great alternative to the single supplement. The package was well‑organized from start to finish, making the trip stress‑free. One small improvement would be offering more à la carte meal choices for Muslim travelers rather than just vegan options.
