An awesome vacation that I waited decades to experience. G Adventures Nat Geo Journeys did not disappoint. Loved visiting the yak herder's family, meeting the camel herder and his family, and having lunch in the ger of the lovely retired nurse living on thr outskirts of Ulanbataar. So blessed to have the experience of being invited inside their ger.
Exceptional country. We made a deep dive into a foreign, phantastic and wild culture. We loved it. Without our local guy we would have never made this experience.. Great Tour
I had a wonderful time in Mongolia! The Naadam Festival was a unique cultural experience, as were the home visits. I gained an appreciation for the nomadic way of life and the history of the Mongolian people. I enjoyed the beauty of Mongolia's landscapes and animals, and the accomodations exceeded my expectations. Overall, it was a fun and memorable trip.
Great tour with fantastic leader and drivers. Loved the first week which was just our group in remote Mongolia. Loved the off-road experience. Second week became a bit more commercialised and wasn’t as enjoyable as first week due to overcrowding of accommodation sites, causing long queues for showers, toilets and buffet food. Overall enjoyed the tour of beautiful Mongolia.
My first trip with Explore, will not be my last. An amazing adventure with a great group of travellers, the whole experience enhanced by our guide Ben and the driving team.
This was a wonderful trip. The itinery is fast paced with lots of travelling in a 4x4 but the scenery is spectacular. The staying in Gers is very good and the trip involves a bit of everything - landscape, history, culture.
