This has been my 8th tour with G Adventures and probably my favorite. Mongolia as it is is such a fascinating place to go to. That trip though is just perfectly modeled to help you experience most of the country for example by staying in ger camps or at a nomad family. I cannot recommend this tour enough!
I have to say in all of my tours with G Adventures, which is almost close to 30 now, I have never experienced another traveller like Nitya R. In my opinion she had unreasonable expectations of our CEO and when she didn?t get what she wanted she would have temper tantrums. For example, on the last day of the tour while we were at lunch, she was very upset when she found out that Mongolia had temporarily banned the sale of alcohol for 3 days because of their general elections that day. She said that our CEO should have notified her prior. While.we were all seated at the restaurant table, she proceeded to ask for the tip envelope for the CEO and she removed what she said was some of her tip money. Her behavior was appalling and that of a spoiled, entitled person. My hope is to never travel on an another tour with her as part of the group.
Highly recommend this tour.
Very good. Mongolia, an up and coming destination, is a unique place to see life and people for real. The vast size and openness of the country on display revealing the conditions and resilience of the people to continue traditional ways.
Vast open landscapes, a living nomadic tradition, and unforgettable wildlife encounters define the 'Nomadic Mongolia' trip—a 14-day adventure tailor-made for experienced travelers. Journeying from Ulaanbaatar through the Nomad Camp, Khustain Nuruu National Park, the legendary Gobi Desert, and beyond, you’ll witness golden eagles, desert gazelles, and Mongolia’s iconic horses in their natural habitats. With moderate physical activity, this tour balances immersive nature hikes and wildlife spotting with cultural experiences, including overnight stays in traditional ger tents and visits to rural villages. The standout aspect is the genuine window into Mongolia’s enduring nomadic lifestyle, allowing you to connect deeply with both its people and pristine wilderness.
