Today is the day to visit the Tijuca National Park, the most visited park in Brazil, and one of the largest urban parks in the world. A walk to relax, walk in the Atlantic Rain Forest, and see the Marvelous City from a different angle.
Let's start the ecological tour by going to the base of Pedra Bonita, where the Free Flight ramp of Rio de Janeiro is located. With a privileged location, the take-off ramp of Asa Delta and Parapente offers us a breathtaking view, including Morro Dois Irmãos, Praia de São Conrado, and Favela da Rocinha. We proceeded to the Pedra Bonita trail, a walk considered light and that lasts an average of 40 minutes to reach its top. From the summit of Pedra Bonita, it is possible to see Pedra da Gávea, the beaches of Barra da Tijuca and São Conrado, with the immensity of the Tijuca Forest around us. It is a beautiful natural viewpoint and one of the best views to photograph the city of Rio de Janeiro.
After descending the Pedra Bonita trail, the Ecological Walk continues through the Tijuca National Park towards the Tijuca Forest, the main sector of the Park. We will conclude our day with a visit to one of Bahia's most iconic landmarks, the Elevador Lacerda, the world's first urban elevator, providing transportation from the lower to the upper city, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the Baía de Todos os Santos, Mercado Modelo, and Forte de São Marcelo.
