Short on time but yearning for Himalayan views? The Poonhill Short Trek offers a gentle gateway into Nepal’s Annapurna region, making it perfect for families, seniors, and anyone seeking an easy yet rewarding mountain experience. Setting off from Pokhara, this four-day adventure winds through charming villages and lush trails at lower altitudes, ensuring accessibility without sacrificing awe-inspiring vistas.
A highlight of the journey is the sunrise from Poon Hill, where the snow-capped peaks are bathed in golden light—a photographer’s dream. The trek also includes a visit to Ghandruk, an ethnic Gurung village famed for its well-preserved cultural traditions and warm hospitality.
With its relaxed pace and focus on cultural immersion, this trek balances short walks and plenty of rest opportunities, making it an ideal introduction to Himalayan trekking. The unique selling point is its blend of mountain scenery and authentic local encounters, all packed into a brief yet memorable tour package.
I had a great time on this trek and Raj was an incredible guide with great communication throughout. His hospitality, and flexibility were incredibly welcomed and the trek was fairly challenging for one of the more 'moderate' hikes. Loved the experience and could not be happier!
I did this Trek of four days that I can summarize as " nature, adventure, stunning views, in fantastic company". We saw Incredible landscapes, crossed bridges and rivers on foot, climbed many stairs and had very good moments. My guide (Raman) was very attentive and gentle, and explained yo me everything I was curious about. Thank you very much for such a nice trip! Maybe one day I'll repeat with you ;-)
Our tour operator and Raman our guide made us this trek unforgattable. I think 20% commission for the price is too much considering the poverty in Nepal.
