day 1 - Colombo Arrival - Negombo (d)
On your arrival at Colombo Airport, your local English-speaking chauffeur driver will pick you up and transfer you to your hotel.
Depending on your flight arrival, afternoon is at your leisure.
In the evening you and your fellow guest will gather for an information session with your Tour Guide before and enjoying a Welcome Dinner at your hotel that celebrates the unique flavors of the region. This evening promises an unforgettable experience as we indulge in a menu featuring authentic regional dishes.

day 2 - Negombo - Pinnawala - Sigiriya (b/d)
After breakfast, we will travel to Sigiriya. On the way, we will visit the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. Pinnawela, where an orphanage was started in 1975 to house the abandoned and the wounded elephants. The number of elephants has increased to more than 65 now; including baby elephants brought from various parts, as well as some of the more than 25 babies born, as a result of the captive breeding programme.
Afterwards, continue travelling to Sigiriya, home to the 5th century Rock Fortress, also known as "Lion Rock".
Spend the afternoon discovering the fortress.

day 3 - Polonnaruwa - Anuradhapura - Sigiriya (b/d)
Today we will travel to Polonnaruwa after breakfast. The medieval capital of Sri Lanka from the 11th - 13th C.A.D. Great revival was achieved in the country, politically, economically and socially during the period of Kings Vijayabahu 1, Parakramabahu 1 and Nissankamalla of the Polonnaruwa period.
After lunch, we will visit the impressive ruins of Anuradhapura, the largest and oldest of Sri Lanka's ancient cities, dating back to the 6th century.
Overnight in Sigiriya.
day 4 - Sigiriya - Dambulla - Matale - Kandy (b/d)
Check out of your hotel after breakfast, then we will travel to Kandy.
On the way to Kandy, we will visit the Dambulla Temple and the Spice Garden at Matale. The Dambulla Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage site, features a remarkable complex of cave temples with ancient murals and statues. Next, at the Matale Spice Garden, you'll explore lush gardens where spices like cinnamon, cardamom, and pepper are cultivated and learn about their processing. You can also purchase fresh spices and traditional remedies.

day 5 - Kandy - Peradeniya - Kandy (b/d)
After breakfast, you will visit the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens. Extending over 147 acres, the Royal Botanical Gardens were established in 1374 as a pleasure garden for the Kings of Kandy. The gardens are home to more than 5,000 species of trees and plants, including both endemic flora and species from the tropical world. The Spice Garden and Orchid House are particularly popular with tourists.
Enjoy an afternoon city tour in Kandy.
Kandy is the hill capital and venue of the annual Perahera. The last stronghold of the Sinhala Kings was finally ceded to the British in 1815. Kandy is an example of Buddhism's influence in Sri Lanka today. Temple's shrines and monasteries keeping alive Buddhist traditions are everywhere.
This evening you will have a chance to enjoy the Kandy Cultural Dance Performance which serves as an excellent opportunity for visitors to experience the rich traditions of Sri Lanka in one setting. The performances are accompanied by traditional drumming and vibrant costumes that enhance the visual spectacle.

day 6 - Kandy - Nuwara Eliya (b/d)
Today we say goodbye to Kandy and drive to Nuwara Eliya, famous for its tea production.
In the afternoon take a city tour in Nuwara Eliya.
Nuwara Eliya - The ‘Little England’ of Sri Lanka, is set against beautiful backdrops of Mountains, Valleys, Waterfalls and Tea Plantations. It is supposed to be one of the coldest places on the island, but is really just like an England spring day although the temperature does drop at night.
All around Nuwara Eliya you will see evidence of the British influence. Houses are like country cottages or Queen Ann style mansions.
Dinner will be at the Hotel.

day 7 - Nuwara Eliya - Horton Plains - Yala (b/d)
After breakfast, we will travel to Yala.
On the way we will visit the Horton Plains before we take a jeep safari to visit Yala National Park. The Horton Plains National Park is situated some 200 km away from Colombo, amidst hills in the Nuwara Eliya district. The most amazing feature of the park is the "World's End" where the southern part of the plains comes to a sudden end and drops almost straight down for 700m. The park contains a rich variety of birds and animals.
Yala is a haven for fauna both indigenous and migrant. Bird concentrations are by the Lagoons. Here are thousands of flamingos, assemblies of spotted billed, Spoonbills, Cormorants, and various species of herons. pheasants, peafowl, peacocks, and wild fowl are found in hundreds. Wild buffalo and herds of wild elephants are a common sight. Whether it is birds or animals you have them all at Yala.

day 8 - Yala - Galle - Bentota (b/d)
After breakfast, you will depart for a city tour of Galle.
Galle Fort, located in the Bay of Galle on the southwest coast of Sri Lanka, was initially constructed by the Portuguese in 1588 and later extensively fortified by the Dutch beginning in 1649. It stands as a significant historical, archaeological, and architectural heritage monument.
On the way, you will visit the Kosgoda Turtle Hatchery. Kosgoda is unique as it is one of the few places in Sri Lanka where all five species of nesting sea turtles can be observed. The hatchery not only contributes to turtle conservation but also raises awareness about marine life and environmental protection among tourists and locals alike
Afterward, you will check in at your hotel in Bentota and have dinner.

day 9 - Bentota (b/d)
Enjoy a full day at leisure on the beach.

day 10 - Bentota - Colombo (b/d)
Today we will leave Bentota and travel to Colombo after breakfast.
Explore Colombo, which includes a drive through both bustling commercial districts and the serene, tree-lined residential areas of Cinnamon Gardens. Visit the Fort area, the former British administrative center and military garrison, as well as Sea Street, known for its Goldsmiths' quarters in the heart of Pettah. The Bazaar area, featuring a Hindu temple with intricate stone carvings, and the Dutch Church of Wolfe dhal, dating back to 1749, are also notable stops.
Additionally, visit the BMICH (Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall), view the replica of the Avukana Buddha, and see Independence Square.
