Itinerary

Dare to push your limits on the Nine Day Enduro: Bali & East Java, a mountain bike tour engineered for thrill-seekers and adventure aficionados. This action-packed group trip plunges young adults and experienced riders into Bali’s and East Java’s most exhilarating enduro trails. You’ll start in the surf town of Canggu, then ride through the misty heights of Bedugul, conquer the volcanic flanks of Mount Batur and Mount Agung, and even hike to Batur’s summit for an epic sunrise before a descent on two wheels.

The journey continues in East Java, where technical endurance trails around Bromo National Park test your skills and stamina. Each day brings a new challenge, from sunrise rides at Penanjakan Point to unforgettable downhill runs through volcanic landscapes. The unique selling point? This meticulously curated itinerary combines world-class mountain biking with stunning natural highlights—ensuring every pedal stroke delivers both adrenaline and jaw-dropping scenery. It’s a must for those who crave adventure, camaraderie, and the raw beauty of Indonesia on a two-wheeled journey.

day 1 - Bali arrival and transfer to your hotel in Canggu

Our representative will be waiting for you at the airport and pick you up on arrival. The drive to Canggu takes approximately 30 minutes. There are no activities planned during the day, offering plenty of time for you to relax and recover a bit from the journey.

In the evening we will head out for a local meal where you will get to meet your fellow travelers and our team. Spend the night in the popular Batubolong area very close to the famous surfing spots of Canggu. There are lots of activities in this area with yummy healthy food, beach clubs, small boutiques, and amazing surf.

For 2019: Time permitting and subject to availability, we will also include a visit to the Amplitude bike and skate park/pump track on Day 01 along with dirt jump bikes as well. Do not worry if you are not an expert, it's just the perfect way to get the tour going! If you arrive late on Day 01 we can include this activity on Day 09 as well.

day 2 - Bali single track through the woods (40 km)

Start with an early transfer from your hotel to the region of Bedugul, located 1,400 meters above sea level. The views from here over Lake Bratan are simply breathtaking. Before the ride begins, you will visit the iconic Pura Ulun Danu Bratan (Lake Bratan Temple) in Bedugul.

Let the adventure begin! We have built several enduro-style tracks through the woods. Each track is between five to eight kilometers long and the shuttle backup is only 15 to 20 minutes away. This means that you can ride your favorite sections a couple of times if you want to.

After you are over with the enduro, you can ride another 20 km through rice paddy fields. We will head back to Canggu before sunset.

day 3 - Bali downhill & enduro tracks (35 km)

Today, we will head for the Mount Batur area, located in the center of the island. The first track is a 16 km downhill run that starts 1,800 meters above sea level and ends at the ocean. Please be ready for a technical single track along with steep downhill and the most amazing views!

After the first run, we will transfer you back up to the volcanoes where you will get the chance to enjoy your lunch with Mount Batur as your backdrop. The second session involves a 12 km downhill run on a fast-flowing single track. We also have a few new lines in this area since a Bali enduro race was recently held here. Each run is three to four kilometers long. That's over 3,000 vertical meters and about 35 km of downhill riding today!

Send the night in the Kintamani area to avoid the long transfer back.

day 4 - Mount Batur summit hike and bike down

Hike with your bike in tow to the summit of Mount Batur (1700m). It takes about two hours to reach the top while pushing the bike along with you. Enjoy a moment of glory on reaching the top before riding down for about 15 minutes all the way from the top of the volcano to the bottom! A true once-in-a-lifetime experience!

After this epic adventure comes to an end, we will transfer you back to Canggu where you will reach by noon. The afternoon is yours to relax.

day 5 - Ride around Mount Bromo crater in East Java (25 km)

Take the one-hour domestic flight from Denpasar, Bali, to Surabaya, East Java. Our representative will transfer you by car (three hours) to the village of Cemoro Lawang, located close to Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park.

After lunch, it is time to hit the trail again, with a two-hour downhill ride. After the ride is over, you can hike up the 200 steps to the top of Mount Bromo's crater. Those who are up for it can carry their bike up and ride down from the top through the loose sand of the volcano! Tonight, you will be staying 2,200 meters above sea level. Bring some warm clothes as it gets cold here at night.

day 6 - East Java enduro trail to Probolingo (35 km)

No need to check out of your hotel today as you will be staying at the same accommodation in Cemero Lawang. The first part of the ride today goes down to Sukapura. The second part of the ride takes you to Probolingo. Prepare for the challenge as you will be on your bike until 3:00 pm.

Again, the riding today is enduro style with a few short climbs and lots of downhill, all in a single track. After the ride is over, we will transfer you back to your accommodation high up in the mountains. We recommend sleeping early tonight as tomorrow is a really big day.

day 7 - Sunrise from Mt Bromo Park & ride to Welang (40 km)

Start at 03.00 am today and travel in our 4x4 vehicle to Penanjakan Point. This is the best place to witness the sunrise over Mount Bromo National Park. After this incredible experience, it is time to hop on your bikes again.

Today's ride has 153 m elevation gain and 2,500 m elevation loss which pretty much sums up the day. Beware of a few technical sections while riding downhill. There are a few sections where we have to carry our bikes. The ride ends at a local bike park where they built an amazing 12 km trail through the local forest. Head out and explore the bike park again after lunch.

After the day's ride is over, we will transfer you to the town of Batu that is famous for its amazing mountain scenery. Stay overnight in a local accommodation in Batu.

day 8 - East Java – Bali with morning ride in Batu (32 km)

An early transfer at 06:30 am will take you all the way up the flanks of local volcanoes. The views of Mount Arjuno, an active volcano, are simply spectacular. Ride through the forest, apple orchards and vegetable farms.

The ride comes to an end on reaching Batu, where you will load the bikes again for the second part of the journey that takes you from Panderman Hill to the Japanese cave that was built during the Second World War. End up at a local restaurant where you will have lunch and can take a shower before transferring back to Surabaya.

Catch your flight back to the island of Bali at around 06:00 pm. Reach Bali at around 08:30 pm. This is where your amazing adventure ends.

day 9 - Departure day

Today is your departure day and there are no activities planned. You can check out of the accommodation before noon. Please let us know your time of departure and we will arrange an included airport transfer or transfer to your next destination in Bali as per your requirement.
