Mount Kilimanjaro Day Hike & Wildlife Safari

Our trip will begin from Moshi or Arusha Town. Our guides will arrive at your hotel in the morning for early pick up and a quick briefing about the tour. Then, you will head to Kilimanjaro National Park’s eastern entrance – Marangu Gate (1,860 m). After registering for climbing permits and rescue services, you will start your trek up to Mandara hut at 2,700 m. The guide will accompany you every step of the way.

After lunch at the camp, enjoy a 30-minute hike to the beautiful Maundi Crater. Descent down to the exit of the park – Marangu Gate. Our driver will pick you up and drive you to your hotel for an overnight stay in Arusha town.

Note: The trekking route includes a passage through the rainforest where tropical showers are highly probable. Make sure to carry raincoats.

Today, we will enjoy a day tour of Tarangire National Park. Our driver will pick you up at the hotel in the morning. Once we reach Tarangire National Park, we will begin our game drive viewing. The game drive will reveal all the wonders of Tarangire, a National Park often referred to as the “Elephant’s Playground”, where herds of up to 300 of these mighty mammals are sometimes seen in the park.

Along with elephants, witness buffalo, lion, wildebeest, zebra, gazelle and many more. Keep an eye out for giant kingfishers, hoopoes, and the white-bellied go-away bird as well! At the end of the tour, our driver will take you back to your hotel in Arusha. (Accommodation on this day is not included.)
