Ford Rouge Center.
Chicago was amazing. AbeYtif city. Wish there had been more time. I really wanted to go to the art museum. Also loved frankenmuth and Bronner’s xmas store. Another highlight was the Henry Ford museum
We thoroughly enjoyed our Mackinaw Island trip with Tour Director Michael Hepler! He was friendly, organized, knowledgeable and caring! He took care of every detail to make sure our trip was a memorable experience. We hope to see him again on a future trip!
Our tour leader, Michael, and bus driver, Andy, were just great and took wonderful care of us. Planning to travel with Colette again.
Our Tour Manager was excellent! He was very informative and organized throughout the tour! We had a great variety of things to visit and experience. Staying at the Grand Hotel was certainly a highlight!
I loved the time in Chicago and could have stayed longer. I thought Mackinac Island was great. It was a little crowded due to Republican convention and Scout jamboree. I felt our tour guide, Jamie, went above and beyond to make the trip a memorable one.
Love walking around the island and enjoying the sights and weather
Both the tour manager, and driver are the best.
I didn't realize how important having more meals included could have affected us getting to know our fellow passengers better. One more dinner would have been good. I understand lunches are usually when we are on our own, and wouldn't make sense. However, in Frankenmuth it could have worked, since we were all there, and not in hotels, etc. The tour itself was great and a lot of fun. Our Tour Manager Jamie was absolutely THE BEST!! So was Chuck, our bus driver.
Great tour and particularly enjoyed Chicago and Mackinac Island. Jamie, our guide, was outstanding. I wish more meals had been included with appropriate price adjustment.
Tour guide was fantastic. Chicago River cruise is well worth it and highly recommended. Was much better than bus tour which didn't involve many stops or photo ops other than the "Bean". Mackinac island with Grand Hotel stay and the Henry Ford Museums were outstanding. Many lunch and dinners not included. While good recommendations were provided this added to an already some what pricey trip. Don't forget the gratuity add on of most trips as well.
Chicago was way too hot during our time there but Collette can't control the temperatures. The Pier was hot and we took a Skyline view boat ride which was beautiful. The remaining trip was fabulous especially Mackinac Island. I went horseback riding and the fudge was delicious. The Eldon Dow house was interesting in Middleton, MI. In Frankenmuth the Bonner Christmas store was crazy big with so many Christmas things to look at. We also visited the Frankenmuth shopping village. My favorite store was the Pet store. It has everything! All the shops were fun to look around at. I also visited the clock store with so many old and new types of clocks. In Dearborn MI we visited the Ford Museum and Greenfield Village which both were filled with so many history treasures. My favorite was in Greenfield Village I watched a baseball game played by the rules of 1867. The caught the balls with no baseball gloves like today and they were dressed in old fashioned uniforms. There was so much more than what I have listed but I would definitely recommend and I would definitely recommend Chad Nelson as your tour guide. Chad is a history buff and he was very informative before touring each location. Definitely 5 Star trip and tour guide!
This was our first tour. Chad did a great job in leading the trip. His experience was a huge benefit to our tour. The most memorable aspect was the Grand Hotel experience. A fantastic and unique opportunity!
Great trip! Enjoyed the beauty of Mackinac Island and the Grand Hotel. Chad is a great tour guide who is very knowledgeable, fun & caring. Thanks Chad!
Loved every aspect of it. From the touring of Mackinac, to the food, the Ford Museum, the gardens, and the magnificent history of the Dow house. We flew into Chicago and it was hot, but the accommodations were perfect and flexible times.
