I thought this was a great itinerary with lots of options. I appreciated that our time is not wasted and our tour director always had everything ready for us. Tony was a spectacular guide. Very entertaining while keeping everyone on schedule.
Tony was awesome. He made the trip fun.
I was able to see and experience so many things with the added excursions! It was a full itinerary. Some days were long but the experience well worth it.
The schedule was good, activities were fun. Most important, our tour directory Tony was very knowledgeable and experienced. And he was also very patient and took good care of us. He made the trip more enjoyable and fun!
Melbourne was disappointing but it could be because the weather was not cooperating (rainy and cold) and the penguins were not as impressive as expected. The Great Barrier reef was amazing. Sydney was a cool city and the Opera house was beautiful and impressive. The trip did not include as many "surprise and delight" items as other tours I have taken (i.e. music or singing at dinners, treats along the way like ice cream at a tour stop or a country specific dessert treat.
Our itinerary was one that fluctuated due to changing venues and plan of schedules. did a good job trying to get us the best experiences though. I only had one concern that put a small damper on my trip. Trafalgar won’t let you gain access to excursions until we are in the country. This time several of the items were full and I was unable to go. It just seems to me if you publish an excursion as an option then it should be available. kept saying, •its Easter break”. Well the holiday didn’t change so if Trafalgar and its travel guides anticipate a problem on holiday weekend then don’t use that time line to plan a trip of a lifetime. This is also the first time the travel director didn’t attend all excursions. She stayed back at the hotel a few times and left us with the driver. Overall, I had a great time and met some wonderful people. I have used Trafalgar three times and will continue to do so.
