Craving a thrill-packed day by the sea? The Buggy Tour to Genipabu delivers an exhilarating ride along Brazil’s North Coast, weaving through sand dunes, crossing rivers by artisanal ferry, and stopping at a string of stunning beaches. From the dramatic Dunes of Genipabu to the tranquil Pitangui Lagoon and finishing at Muriú Beach, this tour offers non-stop excitement and breathtaking views at every turn. Perfect for adventurous spirits, the main draw of this experience is the opportunity to explore diverse landscapes in one action-packed adventure, with the freedom and fun only a classic buggy ride can provide.
We leave the hotel by buggy and can contemplate the beautiful urban beaches. The first natural landscape to be appreciated is the encounter of the Potengi River with the sea, just after passing the Newton Navarro Bridge. We will make the first stop at Redinha Beach, about twenty kilometers from Ponta Negra. There, we can choose to visit the Tamar Project or the Natal Aquarium, home to sixty species of animals among morays, fish, seahorses, monkeys and alligators.
We will also stop at the famous dunes of Genipabu, which have already served as scenery for global soap operas such as Cambalacho and Flor do Caribe. This point has as its attractions the visual that mixes the lagoon, the dunes and the sea, as well as the optional dromedary rides (the northeastern version of camels) through desert-like scenery. The next beach is accessed by handmade ferry, not included in the tour's value. We will cross the Ceará Mirim River to reach Barra de Rio Beach and Graçandu, where we can bathe in the calm waters. We will continue to the dunes of Pitangui, which surround the lagoon of the same name, an oasis in the middle of the desert. There, we will stop to take a bath and enjoy the chairs to sit with our feet in the water.
We will go through the golden dunes, where scenes of the novels Tieta, O Clone and Caminho das Índias were recorded. In the dunes of Jacumã, we will find another lagoon and the optional aero-bunda, sky-bunda and kamikase. It is on the beach of Jacumã also that we will make the stop for lunch. We will end the day on the quiet beach of Muriú.
