This was an excellent highlights tour. Hotels were brilliant, food top quality. Tour director and bus driver were both amazing.
I felt it was a good solid pace with a lot of nice variations in location. My only wish was perhaps start at Auschwitz instead of ending on it (a bit depressing) if possible.
It was amazing and so much to see. Transport great, Hotels excellent. Tour director very pleasant A very well organised tour. Thank you Trafalgar for a great tour.
This itinerary was amazing. We saw and did so much. Our Tour Guide, was the BEST. There were so many surprise and delights from the best rose petal jam paczki to the shots with gold flecks in them in Gdansk. The food was very good, the cities were just gorgeous. We could never have done and seen so much on our own.
The tour of Poland was well organized and included excellent sightseeing and exploring. Our Trafalgar rep - was wonderful, kind, helpful and full of information. Poland is such a a beautiful country! I highly recommend this tour.
It is an excellent itinerary. The only thing I wish is that we had a a few sleep in, as it becomes exhausting towards the end.
It was a perfect introduction to this beautiful country and its history. It made us want to travel there again.
The excursions were incredible! So fun and often educational too, I had a wonderful trip!
This trip was packed with so many great experiences and places! Highly recommend for anyone who wants to see as much Poland as possible. Be ready to walk at a leisurely pace in many truly awe inspiring places where history was made. The tour guide and driver were exceptional at their jobs and we all felt very taken care of the entire time.
I thoroughly enjoyed my trip through Poland. The tour guide and driver were excellent. I see that they have changed the upcoming itinerary to include an extra night in Zakopane which is terrific as I did feel that one night wasn’t enough. This trip was packed with history and culture, a lot of walking, and a lot of information, which could be challenging for some people, but personally I loved it.
A great itinerary covering all the key locations/places that we wanted to see. Our only issue was 3 different days of long bus travel-too much time on bus and not much sightseeing other then the countryside. Our local expert tour guides were excellent value. Our tour director was very experienced and knowledgeable and got us around very successfully. Her only downside was a lack of one-on-one people skills. She had her moments of good interaction but gave the impression of ticking boxes to get the job done without too much genuine interest in the individuals
The Tour was good and provided a varied panorama of Poland, its history and culture. The Tour Director, whilst good at her job, was extremely standoffish from Australians. In fact, she barely spoke to us for the entire trip. Recommended for American clients only.
Perfect mix of history, music, and religion in a beautiful country. While the schedule was ambitious, it was necessary to cover what proved to be all significant aspects of this country.
5 hours in a coach with 1 rest stop is too tiring and unhealthy. Suggest train for long distances. Zakopane disappointing. Too many optional extras.
This trip was so much better than I expected. This was my first “ bus tour” and I can’t say enough about how well organized and enjoyable it was. Our guide, was absolutely amazing. She not only was very knowledgeable and full of history and facts, she was fun and planned amazing outings. I would definitely take a Trafalgar tour again! Looking forward to it!
Tour manager was one of the best I've ever had. Please read your documents, especially about tipping and be prepared to tip in zlotys for local guides. The schedule was very busy if you did all of the excursions. Tour manager is pretty good at selling you on them, but all are not for everyone. The ones with dinner or lunch included were great, and the food was terrific! The tour of the Jewish and Communist quarters included a very long, loud harangue about Soviet Communism, was not worth it. The rest were great. They do involve a lot of walking, and a lot of stairs (down) in the salt mine. The Auschwitz and salt mine tours are stacked -- there are groups in front of and in back of you, so you really have to keep up. I enjoyed the tour very much and would recommend it for anyone interested in Poland during and since WWII.
The itinerary is very packed giving a taste of the major Polish cities and sights. It is a good combination of historical sites as well as cultural experiences. My only note is that the itinerary provides very little free time in all the cities other than Krakow, so be prepared to be up with the sun and cover a lot of ground every day.
Everything was good with the trip. My only problem was lack of leg room in the bus. You have plenty of seats you should take some out, and spread the rest out. Besides that, I think the itinerary was good.
This itinerary on paper looks good but in practice doesn't allow a lot of down time for the participant. I feel as though some of the optionals were not really worth the cost and could instead be used as down time, while others were great. For example, the salt mine was fantastic, but the old Warclaw tour and the iron curtain and getto were both lacking and overly priced. I would also consider including some of the optionals as standards since so many people opted for them. I realize people want to see alot, possibly extending it by one day to allow a less urgent flow and a more relaxed pace allows you to see and appreciate your surroundings, especially if you paid a lot of euro for the option. The tour guide was great and looked out for us, the driver was excellent, and most city tour guides were good. A couple really rushed you through and didn't really give a good account. The pickup and at the airport was a no-show until I called to inquire but the drop off was great and on-time. The hotel choices were good and their locations as well (porterage really helped!!). Possible a little more flexibility on the meal options. Overall it was a good trip, albeit a little pricey.
Great cites and history lessons
Yes it was great
Poland surprised me how much I enjoyed this country.
