I did this tour and really enjoyed it. The itinerary was packed but fun. Beaches, islands, waterfalls, a bit of culture, and some beautiful nature spots. Saona Island and Los Haitises were my favorite parts. The guides were friendly, the transport was comfortable, and everything was well organized, so I didn’t have to worry about planning anything. It’s a great option if you want to see a lot of the Dominican Republic in a short time. Overall, super solid tour and definitely worth it!

I just returned from my recent trip to the Dominican Republic (November 2025). It was a last minute trip and I went Solo. As a woman, who traveled alone, it was vital to find an organized way to enjoy the Dominican Republic for safety and best use of my time. I found Charlie the Traveler, who's organization had a 6 day itinerary available for me. The price was very worth it. They arranged all the airport pick up and drop off, hotel arrangements and all the day trips. The excursions were very diverse and gave me the opportunity to see many of the important landmarks in just 6 days. I wish I had stayed longer but I had to go back to work. I got to see the beaches, mountains, caves and historical locations. We went to Santo Domingo, Punta Cana, Saona, and many other places. I highly recommend using them whether it's a solo or group trip. We communicated via Whatsapp everyday and they always checked in on me and were available if any issues arose. I would definitely use their services again with my friends or family or solo again!

We were lucky to have amazing weather for our entire trip and everything was arranged to perfection. We were advised to upgrade to the chopper from Kathmandu which saved us 2 days due to weather at Lukla. Every day went smoothly with each lodge offering warm and friendly welcome. Our guide Darwa was knowledgeable and looked after us at all times. The Nepalese people were amazing to us at every turn. We will be going back.

I loved the trip as a whole. Our tour director was knowledgeable and passionate about Scotland which made us enthusiastic as well. The local specialists added to the experience and really helped flesh-out the experience. The one thing I would have changed would be less time at Edinburgh Castle and add a walk through Old Town. The Royal Mile is nice but I would have liked more of the side streets and closes.

Booking with local company makes us feel the great contribution to the local economy. Our guide was very helpful and informative, he did everything he could to make us comfortable and informed. The safari camp, Suenos was best and in the center of wilderness, with greater views of wildlife. It was amazing to here the sound of animals at mid-night and we will never forget this experience. One thing of note is flexibility the company have on planing of our trip. We will get back to this company again and again when we travel to Tanzania again. A 7-day Langtang trek with this local tour operator is highly recommended! We had five wonderful, tough, fun, beautiful, and overwhelming days of trekking, experiencing Nepal’s raw natural power up close. We hiked from Syabrubesi to Kyanjin Gompa (a 2,400-meter altitude gain!) in three days and descended in two. Along the way, we passed through lush forests, steep mountain slopes, and even snowy trails. When the weather was clear, the views of countless towering peaks were absolutely unforgettable. The entire experience was guided by our experienced guide, Binod, and our knees were especially grateful to have the kind porter, Rajendra, with us. Binod managed everything perfectly, paid close attention to how we were feeling, and adjusted the pace according to our needs. He was also very aware of altitude sickness symptoms. We took Diamox but didn’t experience any issues. Unfortunately, I caught a bad cold just before the trek, but Binod was ready with medicine, Strepsils, and ginger tea. He and Rajendra make a fun duo, adding to the fantastic experience! Along the way, the company were easy to reach if we needed any additional assistance – though we never actually had to. We were two sisters on this adventure, and we are SO happy that we gave ourselves this experience!

I loved seeing so many cities. I would have liked another night in Evora at the convent instead of two nights in Lisbon. I appreciate the organization and pre purchased entries to the museums etc. The lunch with the musicians was really special. More events like that would be welcome rather than cathedrals. I enjoyed the local guides and their knowledge. The hotels were wonderful and amazing breakfasts. The dinners out were very rich! My husband and I just completed the 8-day Langtang Valley trek! We were guided by the amazing expert Ramesh, and our superman porter (and skillful jeep driver) Suresh. We had such a great time and are feeling very accomplished. We feel fortunate to have had these fellows with us as they made the trip so much more fun and interesting. They were patient, funny and never seemed annoyed at my very slow rate of both ascent and descent. Ramesh guided my husband Kevin up Tsergo Ri at an early hour while Suresh showed me around Kenjin Gompa and the yak cheese factory, and helped me while I had some mild altitude sickness. I felt like we were traveling with pals rather than hired hands. The trek itself was amazing. We had perfect weather and made excellent time despite my slowness! We ended up finishing a day early, and so on Ramesh’s suggestion we headed to Chisopani so we could ring in the new year with a mountain sunrise. It ended up being cold and cloudy, but keeping warm at the campfire talking with the guys was one of my most memorable moments of the trip. Just home from an amazing group hiking experience in Gran Canaria. There were 6 of us in the group and 2 wonderful guides—Rosie and Ben. We learnt so much about the history, geography, flora and culture of this beautiful island, from our guides. The hiking days were seamlessly planned and organised, the pace was good for all levels of ability and all the overnight accommodation was excellent. In the evenings, the locations for dinner, drinks and socialising had been organised and we would spend time getting to know each other and relaxing! It really was the best active holiday I have been on and Rosie and Ben also organised the perfect weather! I highly recommend this travel operator and I’m sure all their tours and itineraries are brilliant.

I have just returned from a weeks walking in Gran Canaria and it exceeded all expectations. Great hosting by Ben and Rosie, lovely accommodation, spectacular walks that were expertly set for the skill level of the group. Group size was small so we received a very personal service. We had an exceptional experience of Private Everest Base Camp Helicopter tour with Landing at Kalapattar. This trip was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that we will never forget. From start to finish, everything was well-planned and perfectly executed. The landing at Kalapattar was definitely one of the highlights of the trip. The views were breathtaking, and it was truly an unforgettable experience to see the Himalayas from such a high altitude. The weather and view from Hotel Everest View were not ideal, the delicious breakfast made up for it.
