A visit to Santa Marta means discovering a lesser known Colombia. Nestled at the foot of the majestic Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, this city was the first Spanish settlement, which overtime developed into an important maritime hub. Today, it represents an alluring mish-mash of breezy Caribbean beaches, old historical treasures and ever-growing palette of cafés, bars and eateries. Those looking to experience the allure of the more-laid back side of Colombia won’t make a mistake if they decide to book their holidays in Santa Marta. Check out our trips to Santa Marta below.

Excellent

In a word: wild. The jungle was hotter and wetter than I ever could?ve imagined. Nothing Ever dried. The bugs are bad. It?s really hard. And I?d do it all again in a second. I think I expected something like the Inca Trail, but this was just a totally different experience and I am so, so grateful that I got to have it!!!

Andrea | Traveled in May
Excellent

A fun tour, lost city was a real highlight of the trip but it?s hard - heat and humidity play a massive role even if people are physically fit and experienced hikers.

Excellent

This tour is not for the faint of heart, but it is one of the most rewarding experiences I?ve ever undertaken. The 5 day route permits you to visit waterfalls and other natural beauties in the Sierra Nevada mountain range. The staff were absolutely epic as well! The food brilliant. It was actually a true once in a lifetime experience.

I had an amazing time, I'm ready to go back to Colombia for more! Tour leaders have the power to make or break your experience - I'm so grateful for Juan Pablo and Andres who were wonderful people, guides, and friends going above and beyond to make our experiences the best they could be.

Tough question This Colombia experience is well worth the cost and gives a great overall feel of the country. We were out there meeting local people in each location was we went into some depth of the socio-economic issues.

Exactly the tour that I expected with this organization. No surprises, no disappointments, and worth the value you get. Always getan exceptional guide who is well-educated and enjoys his job.
