Cycle along the Red River dyke, cross the Long Bien Bridge along the way. This bridge, which was formerly known as the Paul Doumer Bridge, is one of the greatest engineering accomplishments of the French, who once ruled over Vietnam.
Continue riding along the dyke after crossing the bridge before heading for a small biking trail that passes through cornfields and vegetable as well as fruit gardens. See lush green paddy fields along the way. Ride past banana, guava and apple farms.
Reach Bat Trang after about two hours of cycling. Apart from its scenic location, the village is also famous for its high-quality ceramic products. The vases, bowls, cups and plates made by the villagers are exported worldwide.
Take a short walk around the village. Explore its ceramic market and visit the Bat Trang Temple as well as Bat Trang Communal House. Discover the local way of living and learn more about the traditions of the place. Stop at a local workshop and learn more about the pottery-making process. Try making pottery on your own. Situated on the bank of the Perfume River, Thanh Tien and Sinh villages are famous for their handicraft products representing the life and culture of Vietnamese people. In the morning, meet your tour guide and choose your bike before starting the cycling trip to the traditional craft villages. En route on your bicycle, stop at a number of places to capture snapshots of life and people in the former imperial city. Following your tour guide, you will ride across Truong Tien Bridge and then slowly walk with your bike through the back of Dong Ba market where you will have a chance to explore lots of differences in the shopping habit and food ingredients of Vietnamese.
After about 15 minutes, you will reach a less touristic place named Bao Vinh - an ancient town having houses with over hundreds of years situated a long the narrow street, walking around to learn more about the life and the history of this place before taking a fascinating boat trip across the Perfume river to Tien Non Village.
It is about 20 minutes riding from this point to Sinh village, which is famous for its traditional paper paintings. Head to an artist's house, where you can spend some time talking about this special kind of craft and learn how to make a painting from traditional materials. The artist/teacher will guide you step-by-step to create a one-of-a-kind souvenir to bring back home.
Continue your cycling trip to Thanh Tien village, which is famous for its traditional craft of making paper flowers passed down to generations about four hundred years. The artisan here will teach you how to make the paper lotus with sophisticated steps. You can choose to make paper lotus in any colours: pink for supreme power, white for purity and violet for the beautiful Hue girl in “Áo dài”. Each colour manifests the beauty of the land and people of Hue. Keep the flowers as a special souvenir.

After lunch, continue cycling to Khai Dinh Tomb along the river with fabulous countryside landscapes. These are the most interesting and unique cycling roads in Hue city. Khai Dinh Tomb is the last destination to visit of the day and then we will cycle back to the city.

In the morning, meet your tour guide who will show you how to control your mountain bike on the Hue roads and pathways. After a short warm up, we start our tour by passing busy roads from your hotel to Chợ Cống – Cong Market. Here it's slow riding between the crowded flow of locals, where we'll be able to see the bustling morning market.
Cycle along Nguyen Lo Trach Street, other paths and green fields before we reach Thanh Thuy Chanh village, where we will stop to walk around the village and visit the Communal house, family temples, famous Thanh Toan Bridge, agricultural tool museum.
We will then cycle up Nhu Y River on our return to the city. Here we will stop to visit some pagodas and temples, and you can glimpse the local people working in the flower fields or fishing on the river.
We'll cycle back to your hotel with you at the end of the tour.
There is no better way to explore Hanoi by jumping on a bike and meandering through the traffic and Red River Delta.
The tour will start from either 7:30 am or 12:30 pm. At this time our tour guide shall collect you from your hotel and bring you to where the bikes are located and your adventure will start.
First, we will cross the Red River by Long Bien bridge (built by Paul Doumer who also designed the Eiffel Tower) constructed from 1989 to 1902 during the French’s colonial occupation of the country. From the bridge, you can see greenery below and we shall continue along through rice paddies and farms.
You will meet local people and see how they work. If you fancy, you shall also have an opportunity to take the load off their shoulders, join in and learn all about them.
Continue biking through small roads with nice landscapes before arriving at Co Loa in Dong Anh District to see the ancient citadel, built in 257 BC.
Next see a fruit farm where you can pick some fruit and explore before next stopping for a traditional Vietnamese lunch.
Once you have finished in your own time, we shall take you back to your hotel where the trip will end. Trip ends at 1:30 pm (morning option) and 5:30 pm (afternoon option) at your hotel in Hanoi

9:45 am: Row a boat with a villager on Nhu Y River to enjoy spectacular scenery and learn how the locals catch fish. After observing, you can even try to catch your own fish! Take all fish that you have just caught back to our place to cook for lunch.
Either before or after the fishing, take a walk to the rice fields near the eco home where farmers are working on their own land. Learn about rice cultivation from them and see how it's done. Try it out yourself if you like!
11:15 am: Take a cooking class to learn the traditional ways of preparing and cooking three Hue speciality dishes. After the lesson, enjoy what you have just cooked along with some other dishes.
