When you barely see some movement in the forest he already knows this is gray langur female 10 years old, 12 kg, well fed with one infant posing no threat to us. I cannot thank our guide Youssef and mule driver Mustafa enough, they were absolutely brilliant and really made this trip extremely special. I’ve completely fallen in love with the Atlas Mountains and the kind people who live there. The trail is beautiful and takes you through varied and geologically interesting landscapes. We did the walk in December, and there hadn’t been snowfall yet, so the walk itself wasn’t overly strenuous giving us the chance to take in the surroundings and put the world to rights, and time to explore the villages in the evenings. We were fortunate enough to have clear skies every night - in the small villages the view of the stars is incredible! Highly recommend it! Thanks Youssef and Mustafa!
