Simple stays with essential amenities. Typically guesthouses, hostels or hotels rated below 3 stars — clean, no-frills, and great for value-conscious travelers.
Comfortable and reliable 3-star stays. Expect private rooms, en-suite bathrooms, and solid amenities — a great balance between comfort and cost.
Upscale 4-5 star hotels and lodges. Enjoy high-end service, refined comfort, and premium locations — ideal for travelers seeking extra indulgence.
I recently completed a holiday trek with World Expeditions to Tyangboche Monastery in the stunning Khumbu Valley of Nepal, and I can confidently say it was a five-star experience from start to finish.
The organisation was flawless—every detail was thoughtfully planned and executed, making the journey smooth and stress-free. The staff were simply brilliant: knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely passionate about the region and our experience. From guides to porters, everyone went above and beyond.
The facilities throughout the trek were first class, offering comfort and cleanliness even in the most remote locations. The food was outstanding—nutritious, delicious, and varied, keeping us energised and satisfied every day.
What truly made the trip special were my fellow trekkers. The camaraderie, shared stories, and mutual encouragement created a warm and inspiring atmosphere that I’ll never forget.
If you're considering a trek in Nepal, I wholeheartedly recommend World Expeditions. This journey to Tyangboche Monastery was not just a holiday—it was a life-enriching adventure.

Goodness what to say?! Had lots of expectations as I’ve been trying to get to Bhutan since Covid took over and had amazing time!! One of quietest countries I’ve visited but they shared my love of karaoke! So much nature, beautiful views, some times too much nature (my allergies went wild) but it was great time, lovely people, very welcoming, loved telling them about London & Peckham. Shout out to my guide and driver, Pemba and the Captain. Thank you 😊 😊
It was an amazing trip to such a spectacular part of the world. Due to weather impacting the first few days our guide Sanjay needed to come up with plans B and C to make sure we still managed to visit most places on our itinerary, while allowing us to acclimatize properly. His experience showed, we all made it to Everest Base Camp, and finished with a mind-blowing helicopter ride back along or walking route to Lukla, then on to Kathmandu.

We really enjoyed the trip, the fixed camp and lodges were great and the views fantastic. The region was much quieter than The Everest region. Nema, our leader was really good, looking after us and making sure everything was okay. The walking was on good tracks/paths with only one long day going down all day on steps (poles a must!)
