We embarked on an unforgettable journey along the Manaslu Circuit, exploring additional highlights like Kathmandu Heritage Tours. Gokyo Renjo La Pass Trekking takes you from the mainstream trekking trail and gives you an exclusive experience of trekking off the beaten path in the Everest region. Be amazed by the spectacular views of the snowy mountains and vast landscapes, the unparalleled culture and traditions, and the diverse flora and fauna of the Gokyo Valley. Exploring the unique blend of Nepalese and Tibetan Buddhism and the culture, traditions, and lifestyles of the aboriginal Sherpa people are other highlights of the trek apart from the marvelous views and natural diversity.
Begin with a mountain flight to Lukla and explore Chauri kharka, Phakding, and Namche Bazaar villages. Stay for acclimatization in the historical trading hub of Namche. Pass through the towns of Dole and Machhermo before Gokyo leads you to the Gokyo Ri, the peak with extraordinary scenery. Soak up the panoramic view of mountains including Mt. Everest (8848m), Lhotse (8516m), Cho-Oyu (8201m), Makalu (8585m), Ama Dablam (6812m), Thame Peak and others. You can also see the Ngozomba Glacier, the largest glacier in the Himalayas, and the unique Gokyo village. Climb to the challenging Renjo La Pass (5345m), another viewpoint in the trail which provides yet another surreal scenery of the Himalayas to the trekkers as a reward for their strenuous trekking in the region. After exploring the area, we retrace our path, head for Thame, trek to Lukla, and fly back to Kathmandu.
On the trek, you may glimpse rare species such as musk deer, wild mountain goat, snow leopard, and hawk. Locals believe in the existence of the infamous Yeti as well. You may witness it as well; you never know!

We had awesome trek to see Gurung community with the help of Sujan and the local operator. We managed historic hill trek to Siklis still retains an aura of old times. Historically, Siklis is renowned as one of the major origin places of Gurung Community. Here, we find the various ritual practices of Gurungs especially the works of Jhankri (shaman) and Lama (priest), who have important roles in marriage, death and day-to-day lives. Traditional technologies like alcohol fermentation, weaving clothes and sacks from the wild nettle, weaving various bamboo products, traditional water mills and stone grinders, wooden threshers etc are also the important features of Siklis. In this region we spot Nepals birds of prey including the 9ft wingspan Lammergeyer. The region is rich in flora and fauna particularly birds and butterfly because of its pristine forested surroundings and the great mountain views add an excitement. The experience was just awesome. Langtang Gosainkunda Trek is one of the major treks of the Langtang region, along with Helambu Trek and Langtang Circuit Trek. This trek offers you both a wealth of natural and cultural experiences. In addition to the panoramic views of several snow-topped mountains and spectacular alpine scenery, this trek’s major highlight is the holy lake of Gosainkunda.
The 9-day trek commences from Kathmandu, leading towards Syabrubesi from where the actual hiking starts. The trek then follows the Langtang valley heading up to the Langtang glacier and the Tibetan border to Langtang village. This narrow village settled between the Himalayan ranges to the north and south, provides a spectacular view of snow-capped peaks including Langtang Lurung, and Lanshisha Ri. Continuing from Langtang village, the trek continues to Kyangijn Gompa, Lama Hotel, Chandan Bari ultimately leading to the final destination of the trek, Gosainkunda Lake.
Gosainkunda Lake has a unique combination of natural beauty and cultural richness. It is a sacred lake for adherents of Hinduism and Buddhism. During the Janai Purnima (full moon festival) in August, thousands of pilgrims from Nepal, India and other Asian countries visit this holy lake to take a bath in the holy water, believing it will wash off all their sins. Gosainkunda Lake is believed to have formed from the digging of the land by trident of Lord Shiva to obtain water to quench the thirst after consuming poison.
Your walk ascends through the beautiful Himalayan ranges to Gosainkunda with a number of adjoining mountains, astonishing rhododendron forests and a wide variety of flora and fauna. The Everest Base Camp Trek, which served as a warm-up before climbing Lobuche East Peak, was an exciting and fulfilling experience in itself. The trek allowed us to gradually acclimatize to the altitude and enjoy stunning landscapes along the way. The climb to Kala Patthar provided a unique perspective, as we descended into the valley from EBC, further aiding our acclimatization process while marveling at the breathtaking scenery.
However, it was the climb to Lobuche East Peak that truly tested our limits. The steepness of the peak presented a challenge, but thanks to the expertise of our climbing guide, who skillfully fixed ropes and offered guidance, we were able to conquer it without too much difficulty. The sense of achievement upon reaching the top was immeasurable and made all the hard work worthwhile.

In November 2023 me and my friend embarked on a bucket list adventure. We booked a private tour for the drive in and out EBC via Gokyo Ri trip. Right from the get go everything was smooth, the communication at the head office made it appear there was no time difference between the U.K. and Nepal.
Upon arriving in Nepal the pick up from the airport and briefing were clear and to the point with no delays or issues. The trek itself has definitely been one of the most beautiful and difficult things I have ever embarked upon and I have NO regrets with my choice in agency or itinerary!
My tour guide for the 3 week package we booked and every day he stayed happy, tried his best to keep our spirits uplifted and made sure all the little things behind the scenes were sorted so all we had to do was focus on the trek itself. I highly recommend having him as a tour guide especially if you’re trekking in the Everest Region. Also, our Porter deserves a special shout-out for showing the strength of these Nepalese people, much stronger than I could imagine to be.
